when was your surgery?

Hi Kevin and welcome...I know you will find much support here, this site has kept me sane....My stats are on the tickers below...and It is the best thing I have done for myself in a long time...I had the band and it prolapsed, I had the sleeve and it didn't work..I was always so afraid of GBS, and it turns out, it has been the easiest...go figure...again, welcome and congratulations on your upcoming surgery!!

Do you have medical ins..it may cover it...

I would call the dr if I were you...your not moving enough, and that can cause a blood clot, which you don't need on top of everything else you got going on...maybe they can set you up with in home physical therapy, which it sounds like you could use..

are you walking enough? maybe you are getting unconditioned from not moving..I know it has to be difficult with the back surgery, but I know even myself if I dont get up and force myself to walk I feel very lethargic and weak...

Maybe you should call tomorrow and see if they can see you before wed?

No, not at all, i can pretty much eat and drink normally and im only 2 weeks out...I stop my self at a 1/2 cup, but I know i could eat more....have you told your dr...maybe you have a stricture....good luck...i hope everything is ok and you are just healing a little slower...

Hey Miss machine, Ive wondered what was going on with you since I hadnt talked to you since the day before your surgery....sounds like your having a rough time, and im so sorry for that,...I felt bloated and miserable for about a week, so I cant even imagine what you are feeling...I hope they get it figured out soon and get you all fixed up.....keep me posted, Im sure its going to be fine real soon...*HUGS*....vicki

what is the calorie count..my doc never said?

miralax doesnt work for me, but MOM does!

I am 2 wks and 3 days out, I was wondering if these 2 foods are ok at this stage, I didnt get to see my NUT because she was off the day I had my post op, and they gave me a piece of paper with not many guidlines....anyone else try these at my stage, looking to eat something besides egg salad and cream of wheat....ty

I am sorry that you are going thru this, so your saying you cant eat because your in pain and they cant find the source of your pain?....how long will you have to have a feeding tube?...How much have you lost?...maybe another opinion?...Please keep us updated...prayers heading your way~

I'm the same way. Wonder why my dr never put this fact in my paperwork? Seems like it would have been an important fact to include!! Does anyone know when these nerves come back..
