  2. It is from all the IV fluids, they will usually come off the first week...
  3. they are the only ones so far that I can tolerate...well, I haven't had the vanilla yet, sounds like they may not be so good lol. Already bought a case..wonder if I can take them back
  4. He said they r hematomas and will resolve themselves...
  5. I drink the EAS carb advantage....they are at sams, they are 110 cal, 3 carbs and 17 protein..they come chocolate and vanilla...
  6. you really have to push your self to take in the protein, it is very important for your stomach to heal, your body needs protein to heal and to lose wt...have you tried any unflavored protein powders to add to your crystal light or can you have skim milk, that with unflavored protein powder might help..can you have yogurt yet? go on the post op diet board on here and try to get some ideas that are appropriate for you stage of foods...it will get easier, i hate the protein drinks too, I have been putting it on ice and sip, sip, sip...lol

  8. they brought me ice chips as soon as i got to my room and told me the ice could help reduce swelling..i would get sick on room temp drinks too...! yuk...did they tell you why?

  11. it is very commom to have depression after wt loss surgery, I had bypass, you can suffer from depression from the loss of fat the hormone inbalance, and also there is something called anesthesia depression...try to make yourself move even if you dont want to, jump in the shower, walk out into your yard and listen to the birds., watch a comedy, anything to take your thoughts away from your self and food..let me know how you do...good luck..you will do wonderful...

I went to see him yesterday and he was concerned because I have been afraid to eat and drink...He said you have to get your protein in to heal...so today, I drank an 11 0z protein drink then a 12 oz diet iced tea, followed by the 5 oz yogurt..i did do it all slowly, waiting for a sense of fullness which never came...i dont know what is normal and what is not and havent had much help from the doc except a sheet of paper with a list of approved foods at different stages....
  13. Ive been stalled for 2 days, and its only 9 days and 8 lbs since surg...I also developed depression after this surgery and the sleeve
  14. to drink and drink and eat 5 0z of yogurt and not feel any kind of fullness at all at 9 day post op...Im nervous cuz I havent felt any kind of fullness since surgery...

  17. I also get it on the left side, it is very annoying and sometimes very uncomfortable...no one seems to know what im talking about either...
  18. I had low o2 levels in the hospital ans staed an extra night and left late the next nite..didn't have to bring it home, but my o2 levels were so borderline I wonder where they are at now ...good luck I'm sure it will work itself out. Keep deep breathing and couphing an moving..

I have a very large lump near one of the port sites, It hurts so bad I can barely move sometimes...I am 1 wk post op, and the doc told me the other day it was prob. fluid...it is not getting better by the day...It is making me miserable..none of the other port sites are even painful let alone swollen...did anyone have this issue...I have a larg grape sized one now near where they took out the drain, but not near as big as this other one....thanks
  20. wow really??? how soon after surg. did you start chewing? Gosh i was starting to wonder if I made the right decision...no gum, no diet pepsi, no motrin, phew......

  25. wow..its all over the place...I had mine out yesterday, they told me to take a deep breath and blow it out and omg....I thought she was pulling my esophogus and intestines out with it...i have never experienced such pain and it scared me..
