It is a myth that caffeine aides ulcers and dehydrates you. That's old information. Read up on that. Not true. Caffeine however may upset previously existing ulcers. Many times they aren't detected

From what I heart caffeine can dehydrate you and potentially cause ulcers. My doc told me no caffeine. I have had some unsweetened iced tea when eating out (I make my own decaf at home) and don't think it hurt me as its so rare.

I agree. My mayo clinic doctor says its ok.

I was not told "no caffiene"

What about decaf coffee?... This subject confuses me so many people say coffee is fine and others say no. My NUT said decaf was fine pre surgery but full caffeine was a no no. However she never said anything to be about decaf after surgery.

Upsets and dehydration FAST! I just switched to decaf 2 months ago and it's been 2 months with out a er visit to get I've fluids and my ulser is gone.
