  1. Thank you MrsB - were you on biotin before surgery, or after?
  2. Well, I figure it will be January before I can get a surgery date, so hopefully that will be enough time to make a difference.
  3. I started 1 tablet of biotin 5000 every other day. Watching to see if I see any breakouts. If not I will go to one tablet a day. Thanks for your info lisalisa!
  4. Is anyone seeing acne and unwanted hair growth as a result of using biotin?
  5. Would it pay to start the Nioxin shampoo ahead of time in addition to biotin?
  6. Thank you everyone. I went to Walmart and bought biotin which I am going to start now. Went everywhere and could not find Nioxin hair shampoo, might have to buy online.
  7. Thank you both - so dotted nails when was your surgery?
  8. "Chunks"?! Ugh I am 60 years old and my hair isnt that thick to begin with! Will I have to wear a wig? Do you suggest going on biotin pre- surgery? Anyone else out there that's going thru this? Wondering if I should start growing it out (surgery will probably be in Jan) so I have more hair to "cover the bald spots" or if the extra weight will make it worse?? Is anyone coloring their hair thru this process?
  9. I haven't seen a lot of discussion about hair loss with this surgery, but it s one of the side affects I am most afraid of. I have a lot of gray hair so go in for color every six weeks - will I be able to continue that? I am in a position where I have to look and dress professional and just thinking about gray thinning hair is giving me nightmares!
  10. Thank you! I can't have my surgery until January so I have a little time to think about it, but hearing the story of other bankers can only help
  11. Yes, that's why I was initially drawn to the band; but after talking to the surgeon, the dietician, and the psychiatrist I am beginning to waiver. I like that its not permanent, but I'm being told I won't lose as much weight, problems with slippage etc, and a lot of people end up having it taken out and go to one of the other procedures anyway.
  12. How did you come to the decision to have a lap band versus other methods. I am just starting my "journey"and am still confused as to which surgery to have. I only want to do this once.
