I have about had it with this forum!!!!! I have been posting in another thread and then certain people jump in with rude comments and then a moderator comes in and chastizes me. First it is the people just down right being rude and then the moderators back them up. This is not the first time this has happened, Un freekin believable!!!!!!!

Tracy Im sorry that you have nor felt welcome here, there are alot of other forums out there that give good support. I can't mention the names without getting into trouble. Im new here too and have met some very nice people and some down right mean people.....go figure. Why do you have to wait until June for your surgery? Good luck Bernadette

WOW there are so many people being banded this week I can't remember all of the names. GOOD LUCK, and keep us posted on your journey. Im scheduled for the 16th and can't wait!!! Bernadette:thumbup: PS why is it that there is such a difference in having the liquid diet, some do some don't and some it is 3 days some 2 weeks??? You would think it would be the same for everyone.

I think she is totally bonkers and the Dr that did the in vitro or what ever she used is equally nuts. Why on earth would they do this for a single mom with no job that already has 6 kids!!!!!! CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY.

I work in a tire store!! I know that sounds kindof off the wall, I stand at the counter and sell tires, brakes, shocks etc. I also pay the bills for the store and do the accounts receivable. I love it!! Working with men is the best no PMS issues LOL. This is a great thread. Bernadette

Im new to this site and have seen ALOT of negative replies to threads. I have been very suprised at this. I came here for support before my surgery and have seen alot of posts that are down right mean. Im not sure why people are like that but it is usually the same ones doing it. I guess you have to take the good with the bad, most of the people here are great. Bernadette

Anyone March 16th?? In Mexico??

March 16th Dr Almanza-Reyes, anyoneelse going to Mexico on that date??

Okay I have done alot of Google searches for this Dr and still can't find any information about him. At his office they say that he has been doing gastric surgeries for 20 years, and that he trained Dr Almanza and Dr Pompa. I sure wish it was easier to search for things without having to just believe what people say. I will just have to keep looking.

Okay Iam still doing my research and this is another Drs name that has come up. He does surgery at Limarp surgery center in Tijuana. I would love to talk to anyone who has used him for the lap band. Thanks Bernadette

Sure...if I needed to. Although I had a reduction done 2 years ago so I guess I had the opposite problem. If I had been flat chested I would have had implants done.

It is not approved in the US but Mexico Drs will use it. The fill place that Im going to use will do fills on it too. Im just trying to get more info on it.

I checked the prices a little more and talked to a couple of the patient coordinators and they said the price is US $ and that there was no extra for the exchange rate. Iam to make a deposit and then bring the rest in a cashiers check. Im a little confused as to why you had to pay more??

Mansaw...you said it cost you more because of the exchange rate?? I did not consider that. I don't want to go over $7500. I was just going to wire the money to them, when I decide who.

I just checked out the great lakes weight loss center and they are $10700 that is out of my price range by $3000. That is the main reason Im going to Mexico I can't afford it in the US. I live in the Seattle area and it is $15000 here.

So you went to Mexico too? I have been studying this for almost a year now and I have not seen any reaso not to go there. I looked at his website and he is a little more expensive than Dr Kuri is. My sister was very pleased with him. It looks like you just had yours done, what do you think so far?? Is it worth it to you? Im really getting excited to have it done.
