Makes 4 bariatric servings, probably feeds two non-ops
Ingredients 1 Tbsp vegetable oil 1/2 cup chopped onion 1 jalapeno chiles, seeded, minced 2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced 1/2 lb tomatillos, chopped Salt 1/8 cup water 1/2 lb shrimp, cleaned, deveined 1/2 cup Cotija queso seco cheese (can substitute feta) 1/8 cup chopped cilantro Lime juice Black pepper
Method Heat oil in a pan. Add the onions and jalapeños, cook for 5 minutes on medium high until the onions begin to brown. Add the garlic and cook a minute more. Add the tomatillos, reduce heat to medium and cook for 10 minutes, until the tomatillos are cooked through, but still hold their shape. Sprinkle salt over the tomatillos as they are cooking. Add the 1/8 cup of Water. Add the cheese and shrimp and cook until the shrimp cook through, about 10-15 minutes. Remove pan from the oven. Right before serving, mix in the cilantro and sprinkle with lime juice and freshly ground black pepper.

I love black Beans with garlic and cayanne, topped with roasted chicken breast, hot sauce and a 2 Tbsp of guacamole. On days when I need more "mositure" I do a tbsp or two of light sour cream (20-40 cals) I basically took my formerly beloved chipotle burrito bowls and took out the high calorie food I didn't "need" it's been working well. It's satisfying for me. Also almost anything you used to eat in a tortilla can be eaten in a Bibb or butter lettuce wrap.

hm....i eat chicken every dangum day..
chicken breast wrapped in foil (with italian dressing or BBQ Sauce or carolina bbq vinegar) is faves of mine
and i take the breast, cut into stripes and have ceasar salad often (and yep, pan fry them sometimes)....so many options...anxious to read other peoples offerings myself

Very bad idea with the band. The main ingredient is Glucomannan powder. This essentially absorbs Water like a sponge and expands in the stomach- which is supposed to help suppress the appetite.
You don't want anything expanding in your stomach below the band. It would put you at risk for slip.
Besides, why bother with useless gimmicks anyway? If you have the Lap Band there's no need for them.

B- 2 c coffee w/creamer, meds, Water
L- 1 smoked chicken drummet, 3/4 of a smoked pork rib, 2 bites of cole slaw, 5 bites of baked Beans.
D- 2 chicken drummets, 2 ribs, 1 corn cobbet, 1/4c baked Beans.
S- about one cup ma maybe s bit more of this pineapple/orange fluff I made for dessert today.
* tea, sf punch, and Water thru the day

I've pretty much resigned myself to think that gurgling is just old food working it's way down the line it has nothing to do with whether I actually need to replace that food yet.

Brad, you nailed it. I back you 100%, man. Like in the other post, too, it drives me NUTS that some people don't understand that in order to see gains, you HAVE to push yourself. Your body is an adaptive machine. If it doesn't see a reason why it doesn't have to change, it won't.
Diva, I completely agree. I really hope that everyone gets a chance to read this.
