  1. Went to Dr. today and got another fill. I am at 6.2 cc. I lost 6 lbs this month so I am, according to the dr., 39 lbs down. He seems pleased. I feel restriction but not at all times. I hope to cont. feeling the restriction more and more. Trying not to be impatient but I know a gal that has lost 100 lbs and she is prob. 39 wks out. I am trying not to compare so patient am I and I will keep everyone posted.

  2. I go to Dr. for another fill tomorrow. It has been 3 wks since my last fill. A week ago on my scales it showed I had lost a few more lbs. but it depends on Dr. scales tomorrow to tell the tale. I hope for something. We are still talking around 30 lbs. Hopefully a little more. Hanging in there!!

  3. I am trying not to get discouraged but I have only lost 31 lbs and feel I should have lost more by now. I go for another fill next Tuesday...July 28. I want more restriction. I am up to 5 cc. I wish he would get more aggressive. Hope to have good news next week.

  4. You hang in ther. all this discomfort will pass. Throughout this journey...do not get discouraged. Do what the dr. says and try really hard to make smart choices. You will be kinda on your own will the diet til you become restricted with the band. Unless u r one of the lucky ones and feel restriction form the get- go. I have lost 31 lbs in 2 1/2 months. Now really it has been 4 months but the dr. doesn't average weight loss til u r first filled. He said with pre-op diet etc it is the fact u kept it off until the first fill. That makes me feel more empowered. I walked at first quite and bit but have lacked on that since my son's wedding. Still full steam ahead..... Become aware of your body and habits. Go to support groups..iof not chat on line or jsut read the blogs. Everyone is so helpful. Hope to check on you soon.

  5. You should definitely go fwd with lapband. With u being a man, having such a diet and walking, you should shed it fast. all of those things being changed ( not you being a man) you will drop the weight fast and feel gr8. You have so many things going for you , You can't not lose....Hang in there. You owe it to yourself...if not it is an early funeral and life will go on. Think about it

  6. Went for my 4th fill today. Added another .6 cc so for a total of 3.8 cc in a 9cc band. I think that is right. i have lost another 2 lbs that I struggled with again these past 2 wks. I am not satified with 1 lb a week but hopefully will have more restriction. I pray for more restriction....I want the band to work for me now. Until then I will have to stay focused and weigh my portions and not eat between meals. Any help would be great. Thanks!

  7. I have had 3 fills. #1 was 2cc,#2 was .5cc and # 3 was .7cc. Having my 4th fill May 12. I wish he would give me more or this time it really gives me restriction. I am down 29 lbs but not w/o a fight. I am battling the same 2-3 lbs every 2 wks. I am trying to be good but I brought some Debbie Cakes into my house and I will NEVER make that mistake again. I do not want to fall into my bad habits again. I want the band to tell me NO MORE. Anyone with advice is welcomed to give it to me. I want to succeed otherwise I wouldn't have invested 16,500 cash to this endeavor. I am praying for strength and patience thru my journey.

  8. The first fill is not always noticeable. My dr. says it is a process. Don't overthink it just feel your body telling u the signals u need to be aware of. Got my second fill yesterday and was on liquids so do not know if there is gr8 difference yet.

  9. You hang in there. You are doing gr8. I am 10 wks out and have lost 28 lbs...I struggle with portions too and try not to get too anxiuos. Keep moving and be aware of protein. U don't want to lose your hair. Atkins Advantage protein shakes are gr8 way of adding protein. They r pre-pkg so there is no fuss. My son gets married at the end of May. Would like to drop another 20 but not sure if I can. I will try.

  10. Way to go. I am 10 wks out and have lost 28 lbs. Started at 261 lbs and now am 233...woo hoo. I exercise too. I am up to 1 1/2 hrs 3 x a week. I do cardio for an hr or less and strength training 45 min or more. I am feeling gr8 You are doing wonderful...Keep it up.

  11. I went for 2nd fill yesterday. I forgot to ask how much he put in but I get another fill in 2 wks. He told me to stay on liquids yesterday but last night after my daughter's track meet I ate a small amt. of roast and a sm. pot. and I was fine...the gr8 thing was I got on the scales this a.m. and found I had lost another 2 lbs. Maybe it was my just liquids yesterday. Who cares...I am thrilled. Down 28 lbs. heading for 30 and into infinity...

  12. Tomorrow I get my 2nd fill. Waiting and wanting more restriction. I have a 9 cc band and tomorrow will fill it to 4-5 cc's. I was going to ask the dr. to fill it 3 cc but I will leave it to him( the professional). I read a blog of someone who had their 2nd fill up to 5 cc in a 14cc band and had too much restriction. I am glad I read it cause it gave me insight as to possible and hopeful restriction even with the 2nd fill. I am 26 lbs down in 10 wks. That includes my 2 wk pre-op diet. I am on course. Just need to remind myself not to get too anxious. I am exercising too. Just venting...thanks for

    viewing.:rolleyes2:
