  1. Hi guys, I am looking fro some good success stories with the Bodybug. I am 25 lbs from goal.
  2. That is so cool. Congrats on the restriction!
  3. A bodybug is a device you wear on your arm. It monitors your physical activity. Along with that you can log your food online in a journal. It basically keeps track of how much you will lose. I hear they are great.
  4. My Sister swears by the Bodybug. I'm 25 lbs from goal. Can it help me?
  5. Nessa, good luck tomorrow. Besides soup or other liquids I think protein powder and gas x are correct. Good luck!
  6. How close to goal to you have to be to get a tummy tuck?
  7. Congratulations. Hope your surgery goes well.
  8. My dad is a commercial fisherman here in CA. He named his boat the first name of his mother and the first name of his father. Very cool. Its called the Mary Vincent.
  9. I was just curious how close to goal to get a tummy tuck?
  10. Renewedhope, yes, you are swollen right now. If you aren't losing 1-2 lbs a week and you are really hungry you should get a fill. Some people are lucky and can lose on 1 cup of food without a fill. Others are not. Good luck.
  11. Hi Lisa, I think I probably had 6 fills my first year. Since then I've been unfilled and filled about 4 times. So the maintenance can be high. Good luck.
  12. No, I go back to normal eating after an unfill. Typically there is only swelling with a fill. Good luck.
  13. I would go back in for another fill. It is quite common to not have restriction after your first fill. It took me 5. Good luck.
  14. Yes, if your doctor has cleared you on mushies you can definitely have refried beans. You don't have to blend them, they are considered a mushy. Good luck.
  15. You can definitely have restriction without a fill. It just depends on your body. With that being said, your 3 ccs probably are making a world of difference. You are lucky. Just make sure you get in your protein if you are only eating 1/4 cup of food. I always start my day with a protein shake because of that. Good luck.
  16. My surgeon talked about obesity being a disease and the placement of the band. He had one there to show me.
  17. my doctor basically looked at the incisions, took my blood pressure and weighed me. Once you start getting fills you will do great. Good luck.
  18. Cajuncutie, keep your eye on the prize. Try and stick to 1k calories a day and 30 minutes of walking. The weight will come off. Good luck.
  19. Raph, good luck with your surgery! congrats.
  20. Deb, good for you! YOu will love being banded. Good luck.
  21. I can't believe you can't have coffee. I had and have coffee everyday.
  22. Andrea, with the band you just need to know that you lose a lot slower. The average is 1-2 lbs per week. There are a few people who can lose 100 bs in a year. Also, keep in mind there is maintenance with the band. You definitely need to go in for fills, initially quite a few times. Most surgeons are pretty conservative when they start filling you up. It took me 5 fills to finally have good restriction. I've had to have unfills, refills, you name it over the course of the last 17 months. I am also only down 65 lbs. Good luck with your decision.
  23. Yes, this is quite common. You can try and ask your surgeon for an anti naseau medication. If that doesn't work take Prilosec with your a.m. food.
  24. I had my tubal ligation when I was 35 years old. It was the best thing I ever did. That being said, they make you sign an infertility agreement to make sure its the right decision. I also was not banded and due to my weight of 308 the surgery wasn't as easy for me. Thankfully you have lost a lot of weight and they can do it laparscopically. My incisions were much bigger than that. Good luck. P.S. Lapband surgery was eaiser in my opinion.
  25. I know. I would never allow anyone to fill me but my surgeon.
