First fill today......

and I'm soooo hungry. What's up with that? They said liquids for 2 days and soft foods for 2 days. Do you think it would be okay for me to have refried beans for dinner if I blend them up in the magic bullet with some veggie broth to a thin consistency? That's one thing that filled me up good when I was on mushies.

Basically they want you to take it slow and easy for the first 48 hours. I was told to do mushies for 48 hours, and whipped up beans, etc. falls into that category.

My surgery was October 2, and I had my first fill today. I knew that I needed to be on liquids for a day or two, but I guess I didn't realize that it would be clear liquids. I thought I could still have protein shakes, but according to the written information given to me by my surgeon, I can only have clear liquids. I wasn't sure if I should eat lunch before my fill, so I didn't. I'm regretting that now because I'm so hungry! No Halloween candy for me!

Glad to know I'm not the only one who is hungry on the day of my fill. They did not tell me clear liquids, only liquids. They told me not to eat 4 hours before mine and it was first thing this morning so I had not had anything since dinner last night when I got my fill. I have had some soup and 1 cup of a very nasty soy protein drink but none of that has helped the hunger much at all.

I had my first fill today too. Mandi, I know we use the same doctor and fill center. I'm hungry too....and have actually gained weight, so don't fill bad. I was wondering about your fill....they told me I received 5cc in surgery and the APN gave me a 1cc fill today....so my total is 6cc. How did your fill go other than being hungry?? And what's your fill total....wonder if they give everyone the same??

4leaf-I didn't even think to ask how much was in mine. I was really hoping this would help the hunger I've been having but I feel like I could still eat anything....I won't try though. What did they do at your visit w/ the dr? Anything important?

I am starving most of the time now. My surgery was Sept 20 and I wont have a fill until the 6th of Nov. I have not gained yet but at his rate its only time.
