  1. Puddin, can you tell me what your recovery time is? Did you have to take 2 weeks off from work for the drains or more?
  2. There is no restriction until you start to get fills. I would call your doctor and see how fast you can get a fill. Mine was 6 weeks post op. By then you'll be on solid foods and may want more restriction. Good luck.
  3. Hi Deb, congrats on making this life changing decision. I hope you continue to feel well.
  4. Annette, welcome to lapbandtalk forum. I'm sorry about your insurance issues. I hope you get everything figured out so you too can have the surgery. Best of luck.
  5. I drink up until the time I eat. That seems to help me.
  6. I had reflux reallly bad up until 2 weeks post op. I took Pepcid AC for it and it went away.
  7. I eat when I'm hungry and stop when I'm full. That is the beauty of the band. Best of luck.
  8. The first step is typically getting scheduled with the surgeon for an informational interview and/or attending a weight loss seminar if they have one. After that, that is when you begin the preop testing (blood work), nutritionist and psych eval. You'll do fine. Best of luck.
  9. Zana, I can't help you with the ticker but I wanted to congratulate you on your weight loss. I think fills are the key. I always do better after a fill. Best of luck.
  10. Hi Mysticstar, congrats on moving forward with your seminar. I think that is wonderful. Keep the faith.
  11. Congrats on making this life changing decision. Best of luck to you.

  13. Congrats on getting banded. I've been banded since June. I'm considered a slow loser at 40lbs. I am please however that I am no longer hungry. Best of luck to you.

  15. I would definitely go in for a fill. You have all the symptoms of someone who isn't tight enough. Best of luck.
  16. Sorry you are going through this. I would push them again. I have United Healthcare and I was covered. Good luck.
  17. Judy, wish there was something I could do to help you. I hope in the future your circumstances change so you can get banded. Best of luck.

  19. Fill level is very important. Hopefully it will continue for you. Isn't it nice not to have hunger!? I don't have hunger and I love it.

  21. Did your doctor give you any pain meds? Maybe you should call him.
  22. Alot of doctors do outpatient now. Mine was an overnight stay. Yes, they put you out completely.
  23. Way to go working out. That is the most difficult part. You are definitely building more muscles. I would bet you are losing a ton of inches. That is great. Best of luck.

  25. Hi Gretchen, Congrats on making this life changing decision. I was banded on June 6th and so far I am down about 40 lbs. I lost 40 preop as well. So my total weight loss is 80 lbs to date. You will feel so much better. Even with 10% loss you should have more energy. Best of luck.
