  1. Hey Everyone! I am on day 3 of solids and i'm having a really hard time eating. I find it is most difficult when I eat bread. Today I ate 2 - 3 bites of a sandwich and I had horrible pain in my chest! At one point I thought I was going to throw up but I "slimed" about 3 times and then felt better. Later I ate dinner chicken & rice and agin the pain started to come back. Is this going to happen everytime I eat? I know this sounds ridiculous but I love bread! I want to be able to eat bread! does anyone know if it will get better later? I thought I was chewing enough and slowly but who knows! also do I need to go back on liquids because slimmed? :omg: Thanks for listening! I wouldn't say I not happy I got the band I just think it is a bigger adjustment and harder than I thought it would be! i have lost 24 pounds and was banded on 01/29/07 so that part is great!!
  2. Hey guys! I am 2 weeks post op and I'm doing well. I went to the gym today and did the eliptical and felt fine Then I did the thigh machine and felt fine as well, but then I bent over to get my keys from the floor and had a really weird pain near my port site! It was really painful! I hope I did not do anything stupid! If anyone has any advice please let me know!:help:
  3. Hey Guys! I was banded on 1/31/07 and the worst thing is the shoulder pain . I crushed up some advil and that seemed to help. I also can feel my port under my large incision. Can anyone else?
  4. I just had my surgery done by Dr. Ortiz in Mexico and it was an amazing expierence. I could afforded to do it in the US but after researching it he was my best choice. He has done thousands of lap bands. I just had the surgery 2 days ago and I'm so glad I went to him. His staff and facility were wonderful. He charged $8500 and I was very pleased with everything!!
  5. Hey Guys, I was just banded yesterday 01/29/07 with Dr. Ortiz . Wow what a great expierence it was. I live in Riverside County so I decided to come home today..Everything went we really well except i was up 3 pounds from my preop weight ( Yesterday) did this happen to anyone else. I didn't eat a thing yesterday. I was really shocked and bummed. :think Today I feel a little tired and hungry. I'm on clear liquids! 9. Hi Everyone, This is my first post and I am very glad I found this website. I am seriously thinking about having the lap band surgery. I wanted your opinions. I am considering either going to Dr. Oliak in Orange County or in Mexico to Dr. Ortiz. My insurance will not cover the procedure so I will be paying for this myself. Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated. Thankyou!!
