  1. Try and keep your calorie intake to 800-1k a day.
  2. Christine, if you are serious I would meet with your surgeon and get reinstated with him. Start by getting a fill. That is what I would do.
  3. My family was very supportive. I would tell your mom prior to the surgery if you can.
  4. Marissa, it took me 5 fills before I had optimal restriction. You probably will need a fill or 2 more before you feel anything. Good luck.
  5. My doctor had no preop diet and I did fine. I had no issues while being banded. Good luck.
  6. Make sure you are getting in all your protein first. Also, make sure you aren't consuming no more than 1k calories a day. That should keep you on the losing streak. Good luck.
  7. Congrats on your weight loss to date. Good job.
  8. McDonalds has a great grilled chicken caesar salad. You just need to order the light balsamic vinegarette dressing. There are not a lot of calories in it.
  9. I drink diet soda probably 2-3 times per week. The only reaction I have is a burping reflex. Sometimes It feels a little bit uncomfortable.
  10. Sounds like you may want .5cc taken out.
  11. It sounds like you need a good fill. That is what I would do.
  12. Keep in mind that with the band you typically lose 1-2 lbs per week. It is much slower than RNY. You definitely should take that into consideration. Good luck with your decision.
  13. Rocko, congrats on being banded. Good luck to you!
  14. You should be fine. You didn't do any damage. Sounds like you are just inflamed. I would move to liquids for a couple days then mushies. You should be fine after that. Good luck.
  15. It depends on the fill level. I've been at 3ccs in my 10cc band for about 6-8 weeks now. I'm going back in on Friday for a slight fill. I've had 5 fills. Some only lasted 2 weeks. It just depends on each individual.
  16. I would wait a week. Go on liquids for 24 hours then mushies then regular food and see how you do. Good luck.
  17. Hi Denise, hang in there girl. I didn't have the right restriction until fill #5. I have finally had good restriction for about 6 weeks now. You will be fine once you start up with your fills again. It is hard to count calories when you are always hungry. Good luck.
  18. Yes, this is very normal. Basically your band is just sitting there and isn't working yet. Good luck with your fills.
  19. Just try and eat your 900 calorie diet. You shouldn't be able to eat all that food with the best restriction.
  20. Dr. Robert McKeen is really good here in San Jose, CA. You should give him a call. His fills are $200 if you have surgery with him. Not sure how much if you don't have surgery with him. Its worth a call.
  21. Jason, congrats on getting banded. You are doing great.
  22. Bluejay, welcome to lapband talk forum. Congrats on your impending surgery. Good luck!
  23. Welcome to lapband talk. You are doing fabulous. Keep up the good work.
  24. Melanie, how many calories a day are you consuming? How much restriction do you have?
