  1. MiFive congratulations to you also for your surgery date. I think that makes 3 or 4 of us on the same day. I hope we all check in with each other after to see how things are going. GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!
  2. Kelly my surgery is Feb 3. As far as the sleep study you might consider taking some benadryl as that is what the sleep study recomended the first time... it did work, but needed something stronger since. Now that I'm on the machine all I have to do is say sleep put it on and I'm out like a light. I don't mind the machine but really can't wait to get rid of it as it leaves facial marks in the am. Hope you get your date soon. Tam How about Fab Febs for our name.. just a thought.
  3. derbin- the sleep studies are not to bad. I've done several. Other than looking like a test subject under a microscope, you will make it through. I highly recommend getting a mild sleeping pill from your dr. if you have trouble sleeping in strange places as they need a full set amount of time for the study. That is what they reccomended for me. Good luck! and hope your surgery date is soon.
  4. lady, I too am being banded on the 3rd. I'm so excited but nervous at the sametime. I start my pre-op diet on Monday. Not so bad just a low to no carb diet. Good luck to you. Tam
  5. Hello and congratulations on your band. I live about an hour and a half south of Houston but will be banded in CC on Feb 3 with Dr. Griffin. I'm really excited but nervous all at the same time. I start my pre-op diet on Monday which isn't to bad. Just a low carb to no carb diet. My starting wgt. is 271 which I hope to loose down to about 165-155 somewhere in that range. Again congratulations. Tam
  6. I'm so glad that you have all posted you dates of surgery, it helps to know that others are either on or around the same days as myself. Yea... I found out Monday that my surgery date is Feb. 3rd. I'm so excited but anxious at the sametime. I start my pre-op diet on the 19th. Which I'm excited about as it is not a liquid diet but a no/low carb diet. I've been gathering up all the things I've read on here to have on hand. Now if I can only start exercising more I'd be in fine shape (excuse the pun).
  7. Congratulations Shannon on your weight loss. I to hope to loose as you have. I'm to be banded the 2nd of Feb. and I'm really excited about the decision. Again congratulations and keep at it. Tam
  8. Ann what testing are you refering to. I see the dr on the 5th to get my surgery day which I'm hoping for the 2nd of Feb. I think I've read about everything I possibly can and I think I'm ready. I know it will be a rough few weeks but in the end it will be all worth it. Tam
  9. Hi Shelli and Celi my name is Tammy and my pre-op apt is Jan 5th with my surgery on Feb 2nd. I to am excited as ever and can't wait for my new life to begin. I've read just about everything on this site and it has all been so informative and helpful. We can do this together.... Tam
