I understand about being far away from your dr. (I'm 400 miles from mine~gotta love the military right?)...I'm sorry you have to go through this and I hope you are the first thing she does when she gets back!

Mine is on the 26th...and now that it's real,I'm getting really nervous...i hope this doesn't last all month! lol

My dr. requires us to do the induction phase of atkins 14 days prior to surgery...

We have Triwest (prime) and took 4 days from when my surgeon sent the request. I hope for an answer for you soon!

My process was as follows with Tricare: Told my PCM that I wanted a referell,1 week later i had an appt. with a surgeon for that week. Flew down to Anchorage (we are in Fairbanks),met with him,got info flew home same day. Waited 2 weeks for appts for xrays,bloodwork ect. Sent paperwork to surgeon and a week later Tricare approved me (Last Friday) and I fly down on the 22nd of May with a surgery date of May 26)...so all in all took less than 2 months from the time i decided till my actual surgery;.
