  10. yes, I consider it a success. Believe it or not, I am still learning to use it. I have lost about 45 pounds. But the biggest thing to me is how much I have not gained! I have no doubt that I would have gained at least 50 lbs if I had not had this band put in. thanks so much for asking.
  11. I have lost 45 pounds. I am happy with this and actually it is a bonus. I think of all the weight I could have gained this past year....I did not gain a pound! :tongue2: I am still eating too fast and too much I think. I need to be more intuitive to my body. I am looking forward to hearing from everyone a year later. Thanks for starting the thread.
  12. YOu are doing really great! So happy you checked in and shared the good news and that there is many ups and downs....bravo on your success!
  13. Great idea! I am in. I will weigh this friday and come back and let you know. This will be great motivation for me. thanks:thumbup:
  14. I think you are doing great. I have my surgery Dec 16 2008 and I have lost nothing since. I know why though. You may be at a plateau. Are you in a food rut, or an exercise rut? Sometimes if you mix things up more, that helps. Bravo on the weightloss. You motivate me.
  15. Thanks a bunch for replying. I know I am not alone in this. Now I just need my kids to chill.:sneaky:
  16. Here is the story for the last 2 months or so. So over the last 2 months, expecially the last 4 weeks, I have been eating way to much. A couple times to the point of being extremely uncomfortable. I have been eating to many slider foods. Right now.... I have 6 cc in a 14 cc band. I get up and have my coffee, my 2 eggs in the morning, a healthy choice meal or similar for lunch and I have no problems and everything is comfortable and I stay not hungry for a little while. So here is the weird thing. I cook dinner, I sit down with the fam and start to eat slow and try to eat very small bites etc. I eat untill I feel full, but it is not feeling full like normal, it comes on with no warning and I am just very uncomfortable. I stop immediately (which I have had to teach myself to do). I leave the table and think I am ok. But then, I start the slime and have to have a cup near by and then, I have to run to the bathroom, and about half of meal comes back up. I am not sure what to think of this. I thought that we were tighter in the morning, not at night. I am kind of lost on what to think now. I have made mistakes with my band and I want to make them right now. I want to be ok. I want to stop the slider foods. I want to stop the eating to much. I don't think I have stretched my pouch or band, it almost feels like I have done the opposite. Now one thing could be that I have 5 kids and dinner time is usually stressful. Maybe I am tensing up at supper time? Please, any feedback would be so appreciated! thanks so much.

  18. Thank you so much for your response. I have been to quite a few OA meetings over the years and have even been on retreats and used to be with an online support group that was the non dieting approach to OA. I don't and cannot diet as the way society diets, with the ED. I really do believe that I can work with this band because of the intuitive eating approach. I bring the old OA books out at times and it really helps. Thanks for the reminder.
  19. This is so what I am in need of. Thanks for the hope!
