  5. I had gastric sleeve on February 23rd. I have to do full liquids for for a month post-op. I am so sick of artificial sweeteners. It seems like everything has them, the sugar-free Jell-O, the sugar free pudding, the protein shakes and any kind of low calorie drink. Can someone tell me if they're nutritionist wanted of them to continue to use them once you're out of the liquid phase. I would much rather just eat clean.

  15. Paula.....How are you?
  16. How long did you wait in between?
  17. Thank you. I am ok with the little time in between now.
  18. So my sleeve will be February 23. My surgeon decided he wanted to wait 3 months so there is less chance of complications. I am ok with it now. Will be interesting to have no restriction after 9 years. Even if it is for a matter of weeks.
  19. So my sleeve will be February 23. My surgeon decided he wanted to wait 3 months. So lap band out Nov 27 and sleeve February 23! It seems that 3 months in between is becoming the standard. They told me they wanted to wait 3 months so there is less complications.
  20. I am in the process right now waiting to hear from insurance to have the sleeve. November 27th I had my lap band taken out along with a bunch of scar tissue and a hernia repaired. My surgeon believes he can do it in 6 weeks.
  21. I went in yesterday for band removal , hernia repair and vsg. After 4 hours of surgery my surgeon said there was so much scar tissue from the band, he decided to not do the vsg. He was able to remove a lot of the scar tissue and do the hernia repair. He said that he could do the sleeve in 6 weeks after some healing. Needless to say, I am pretty bummed out. So another 2 weeks of liquid diet And waiting. They already sent in for pre auth for the second surgery. Now I am nervous for some reason they will deny it even though they approved it once. Thanks for letting me vent.
