  11. I am with you girls. I was banded 12/08. I weigh 332 now and was 323 when I was banded. I am rededicated now. we can do this, I know we can.
  12. I did call and they said to go to the ER. Yes it is the ER that he works out of and there was some doctors there that worked with him. It took them sticking me 20 to 30 times before they finally got 2 ccs out. Apparently I have a large amount of scar tissue that is hard to get around. I am so grateful that I can drink again. Food does ok too. But now I am pretty depressed because I am back to 7 ccs. I guess if I go back, I will have him put in 1/2 cc at a time. I am quite disappointed with my surgeon right now. I am about 20 lbs heavier then I was the last time I had 9 ccs. I am confused why he went and put 2 in after not having any for 18 months. Thanks for all your replies. I was so upset at the ER, I was crying most of the time. If they were not able to get to the port, they said they were going to admit me untill someone could get the saline out, I guess so I did not dehydrate. Just feeling quite upset right now, and pretty fed up with my band.
  13. Yesterday I went and had a fill. I have had 7 ccs for about 1 1/2 years. He gave me 2 ccs. Afterwards I was able to drink the water after the appointment and some for bout an hour after that. When I got home I made a protein shake and could not keep that down and have not been able to keep water down since. I am getting worried. I have never had this happen with a fill. So here I am and it is the weekend and I know I need to get water in and I am not sure if it would be wise to wait until Monday.

  15. Yay, thanks for your support!!! I do have an appointment this friday with my nut and surgeon. I think another cc would really help and some refreshers to get me back on track. I am doing WW to try and get me back on track as well. It really opens my eyes on how much I really have been eating. Floridays, you are doing great!!!
  16. Hi everyone. It has been a while. Unfortunately I have failed my band miserably, but I think now I am ready to take the bull by the horns! I am 342 right now. The day of surgery I believe I was at 323. I know I have eaten and drank around the band and it is troubling. How is everyone else doing.
  17. yes, I consider it a success. Believe it or not, I am still learning to use it. I have lost about 45 pounds. But the biggest thing to me is how much I have not gained! I have no doubt that I would have gained at least 50 lbs if I had not had this band put in. thanks so much for asking.
  18. I have lost 45 pounds. I am happy with this and actually it is a bonus. I think of all the weight I could have gained this past year....I did not gain a pound! :tongue2: I am still eating too fast and too much I think. I need to be more intuitive to my body. I am looking forward to hearing from everyone a year later. Thanks for starting the thread.
  19. YOu are doing really great! So happy you checked in and shared the good news and that there is many ups and downs....bravo on your success!
  20. Great idea! I am in. I will weigh this friday and come back and let you know. This will be great motivation for me. thanks:thumbup:
  21. I think you are doing great. I have my surgery Dec 16 2008 and I have lost nothing since. I know why though. You may be at a plateau. Are you in a food rut, or an exercise rut? Sometimes if you mix things up more, that helps. Bravo on the weightloss. You motivate me.
