  2. Hey, thanks sooooooooooo much you guys! I went back to work today, and there was food everywhere. 30 minutes seems much more reasonable. I'll ask my dr. next time I see him, but I keep on emailing him about port pain (I think that is what it is) and other random paranoias. I think I can do this. Marimaru and Donna B--Thanks sooooooooooo much!!!!!
  3. Someone please tell me that I'm going to be okay. I was eating dinner out today (tortilla soup broth). Had a little pain, but I think it was due to the booth I was sitting in. I come home, and the area around my left incision, mainly below my rib cage HURTS. It isn't super painful, but I was poking around, and swear I could feel something hard. Is that my band or my port? I'm wondering if it was my port but am totally wierded out. Please advise! I got banded a week ago tomorrow. thanks!
  4. I have a question for those of you on solid foods...do you eat your meal in a specific timeframe? I was told by my physician to eat my whole meal in 10-15 minutes....?

  12. I am oging to be banded by dr. aceves in a couple weeks but would like a contact in the United States. No one in my fam (or my friends) know I am getting banded. The stigma is too much.
  13. No one in my family knows I am having it done. I don't think they would understand. I am a healthy eater, but have had some hip and knee problems and can't get my weight down! I am a little nervous, but ready...what is it like post operatively? Do you really think I can go home and resume a normal activity level within a few days? :uwelcome:

  15. really, does anyone have any adverse complications with dr. aceves? I haven't heard anything! I am also curious about post operatively, when a band slips, what happens? Is this a dire emergency or what's the deal? I am scheduled to go in 2 weeks, am active, and am wondering how long/laid up people were...please advise thanks :Banane04:
