  1. shit, i'll take 6lbs every week! Actually, my goal now has changed. I am 194lbs and I need to get to 135lbs. I wanted to get to 135lbs by August. That's 59lbs. I've got 9 weeks left to really see if I can meet that mark. I've got 9 weeks and I'd have to lose 6.5lbs per week to hit 135lbs by August. I know I can do it.
  2. Oh stop that you! Soon enough the time will come and then there is no turning back. ARe you doing all you can to try to lose some weight on your own? Have you changed eating, exercise habits? *hugs* You are 29 days away.... you are in pre-ops preparation time and you gotta do some things to get mentally and physically prepared. You aren't really that heavy so you shouldn't really need to lose alot pre-operatively in regards to your liver retraction. I hope you are ok.
  3. Actually, by law he should disclose to you whatever you ask. Ever heard of HIPAA? Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act? If a patient want's info, the doc has to give it, to include copies of all your medical records. You should have a post operative report that clearly states your lapband's serial number as well as size and capacity.
  4. 400 calories a day is starvation. In order for you to lose weight you have to up your metabolism. In order to UP your metabolism you have to feed yourself. Feeding yourself calories, at least 1,000 - 1,500 per day depending on your activeness will allow you to lose weight. Your body won't be starving anymore and it will not hold on for dear life to what you do decide to eat. Marathon runners and body builders put in anywhere from 3,500 - 10,000 calories per day, (I read in an In-shape article) I don't know if this is 100% true but I believe it. They need alot of calories b/c they burn the calories from the crazy workouts. If you want your furnace to burn all night... you've got to fuel it with the wood, paper...whatever to make the burn last. Just know that during this process, you are helping your metabolism do it's job.
  5. Yeah, seriously a good colon cleansing will eliminate parasites, tar and anything else floating in you. Ewww but very good for you, especially if you are losing weight and starting a new lifestyle, why not get that old shit outta ya and drop a few lbs doing it. I haven't ordered it again but I think I will. Many articles that I read states that disease starts in the colon. All that junk we eat and if it just stays inside of us ..which it will b/c we have alot of crevices inside our intestines, can cause serious illnesses.
  6. Liar Liar! I'm just kidding. Well, there is this thing on ebay and it's a cleansing kit, that you take for 7 days. It detoxifies you and will move that black rubbery tar crap out of you. You will lose 7-10lbs just doing the cleansing cuz of that rubber lining on the intestines. It comes out black. I'll provide the link. I've taken it over a year ago and my skin was superb. I lost about 6lbs of tar and you won't believe ....nvm. http://cgi.ebay.com/the-Colon-Cleansing-Kit-intense-colon-cleanse-detox_W0QQitemZ9523027741QQcategoryZ67555QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  7. Also, would you take some spaces out of your post? It's long as heck. There must be a way you can tighten it up some. Oh and by the way you are gorgeous. The pics you posted in Before's and After's are soo nice. You should update your avatar. That doesn't even look like you anymore.
  8. I think it's because soda is just not a good thing to drink. Yeah you said it. The carbs, sugar, all that crap. Nutritionists would of course always...ethically...deter anyone from having this, especially if you are on a weight loss regimine.
  9. Oh btw, I took 5 senokot pills for my you know.. sounds something like (constitution) and I need to know if you recommend anything.
  10. ROFL! Hey Tricia... Yo mama's sooo hairy that when you were born...... you had rug burns. I know you remember this convo last night.
  11. H 240 C 194 (-6 this week) 4 more lbs before I hit 50lb mark! Just to let everyone know, the sauna suit works very well for me. I have bought my 5th one to date since surgery b/c the elastic dies out after a few washes. When I run on the treadmill or bike with my suit on , (I never wear the top and bottoms together, always separately for fear of dehydration) I drop 2 - 3lbs. Alot of it is water weight but somehow it all stays off. I lose inches like crazy. When I finish biking, about 2 lbs or more of water spills out of my pants legs and drips out of my sleeves. P.S., if you do decide to buy one, you can find them in the sporting goods section at Wal-Mart and they are $6.99, comes in small/large large/xl xl/xxl. Remember to drink lots and lots of water prior to wearing this suit and drink water afterwards to ensure hydration. If you don't like the feeling of sweat and stickiness or having a hefty bag feeling then this suit is not for you.
  12. I was 240 prior to surgery and weigh in at pre-ops at 235lbs. I have not had a fill yet and I don't know when I will get one but as of now, I've lost 41lbs from surgery date to now. 04/11/2006 till now 41lbs, no fill, 7 weeks out
  13. Exercise is very important to your health MelAnne. I don't know why you wouldn't think it wasn't. I believe you know this. You need to exert.
  14. Im with you papajoe, she's gotta be lying about not having bloodwork done. That's bogus.
  15. (pulls out the water hose and hoses down willbethin and fishy)
  16. I'm going back to monterrey for my first fill too, whenever that is. I love it there. I'd live there.
  17. (cackles) too cute!
  18. Rofl, Woody's, Your Quote In Your Signature Line Says It All!
  19. I think maybe it was the kettle corn that I was tied up and forced to consume last night. But hey, I'm down 195 and I need to go ride or jog to see if another 2lbs will come off. It's cool that I can just up and work hard for about 1 hour or 2 and drop 2lbs, but mind you...it's been 7 days, no 8 and I haven't gone yet. I think I need help.
  20. I wish Big Pauls jokes were reposted... (sighs)
  21. I don't take a multi-vitamin but I will. I drink a few shakes per day and they are packed with vitamins.
