Today was my 35 mile day but it's going to thunderstorm here per the weather cast. ArcTrainer - 1.5 hour Treadmill - 30 min Ellipitical - 30 min Stationary Bike - 30 min

  3. Lovely Greek man Ali. You go girl!
  4. DD, I said OCED. Obessive Compulsive EATING disorder. There is no such a thing. I do know that there is OCD. I live with one. There is.. however a Compulsive eating disorder. Also, very true, only I have to answer to myself. Thank you for not judging me. I love people like you.
  5. Hey, good idea for a thread. I am a 30 year old, soon to be 31 in December. I am mixed half Thai and half Puerto Rican. My husband is Puerto Rican. My son is 11 and daughter 4. I do not plan on having any more children but I did dream last night that I was pregnant and with a boy, (I remember feet moving around inside of me and rubbing my belly.) Oh geesh! I hope not! I'd rather adopt to be honest. I own a small medical consulting firm. Hubby is a Sales Coach for a large cell phone company. We have a Mini Doberman Pinscher named Lilo and a little blue Thai fighter fish named Stitch. We live in Florida and may soon relocate to Arkansas for real estate boom. I have a Bachelors in Science and a Masters of Science and I am the worst speller ever. I was an athlete throughout highschool and in college, Field Hockey, Track Team, Tennis and Swim Team. In highschool I weighed at most 125lbs and after my son, I skyrocketed to 205lbs. I lost most of my weight back down to 135-140lbs after my son was born. I spent many hours in the gym getting back to that weight. In 2001 I got pregnant with my daughter and went from 145lbs to 240lbs, gaining 95lbs. Since my daughter was born, I managed to get my weight down to 209lbs on the transformations program. Father passed away in 2003 and my weight went back up to 240lbs again. For all I know I could have weighed more but I threw away my scale. Prior to making the decision to do this surgery, I spent weeks cutting down on my food intake but the weight would not come off. I did not eliminate bad foods, just cut back on them. No results. I began to exercise and dropped 8lbs right before vacation in the Bahamas on 4/05 - 4/09/06. I flew to Monterrey on 4/10/06 and at preops was 235lbs. I gained 3lbs back while on vacation. Since my heaviest weight at 240 almost 2 months ago, I have lost 50lbs to date. I am down to 190, though i did see 189 last night. (peeped). My goal is to be 135 lbs by August which has become very controversial, with regards to the speed at which I am making myself lose. No biggie. I have 55lbs more to go and will reach goal. I plan on having a TT upon reaching 5 to 10lbs above goal weight. I also plan on having my armpit/breast area liposuctioned due to fatty spilling bewbies. I plan on lifting weights for body sculpting reasons, not competition reasons. I'd like to one day sell my business and take up something less sedentary and more active such as possibly personal training. That's about it.
  6. I understand what you are saying cinward, but I don't believe there is anything wrong with drinking calories, banded or not. I am pretty sure that alot of people replace meals with Protein Shakes. Nothing wrong with that. I'm am not all liquid anymore, I do eat, trust me. *as she takes a bite of grilled chicken garden salad* Defensive? Somewhat b/c I felt you were incenuating possible ocd development in comparison to someone else you know and I don't believe you are qualified to say such a thing to anyone. It would be received as offensive I would assume. Everyone leads a different life and normalcy standards are according to that person and their lifestyle and routine. What may be normal for you may not be normal to me. I thought my family was abnormal and disfunctional, till I met other families..like the Fockers. Joke here. But thank you for your compliment. Compliments are always welcome. Thank you for your concern too, but if anyone should worry, should be my hubby since i threw out all the bad crappy normal food he was used to.
  7. Some pictures of DH and kids. Some of these pictures are recent as in "April 2006" recent and some are as old as 2 years. Couldn't find alot of pics and I think we need to start taking more. Most of the pictures are with him and our daughter Eliana but I have managed to find some pictures of him and I at my highest weight. He gained some weight too, sympathy weight from when I was pregnant. I had our daughter in 2002 and before then were were both normal weight. I ballooned, he ballooned then, now I am losing and he has lost 15lbs recently. He was 262 and now 247. It is true that men lose very very fast. He only started to eat less and workout 2 weeks ago and drops 15lbs. The nerve! I love my Darling Husband.. DS and DD too. This one is 4 days before surgery. This next pic was taken 4/7/06 and I had surgery on 4/11/06
  8. Parv/Jess, would you mind showing us updated pics of you healed? You looked awesome in your pictures, even the before surgery ones. Oh and would you be able to tell me at what weight maybe your doc recommended you get the PS? Was it 5-10lbs above your goal weight? Or do you reach goal weight and then perform the PS?
  9. You got it EmileeKaye! I'm there girl! As soon as I do get my chit together, I'm there. Oh yeah, put your man's pic up so they can all see how fioonneeee he is. You two are a hot couple, no doubt. Trish's hubby is hotness too, actually I told Tricia once that if I were a man, she'd be mine..
  10. Plans for today 16 mile bike ride at the gym on the stationary bike 4 miles the new piece of equipment I don't know the name but I will update here, it's some sort of "marching" equipment 200 crunches 30 pushups End of workout!!!
  11. LOL, in that case, is there such a thing as OCED - Obsessive compulsive eating disorder (fake diagnosis). The fact remains, every single person can be diagnosed with something. Maybe I could develop an OC disorder and maybe not. Lots of people have addictive personalities to include people who are addicted to the internet and forums. Harmful? Maybe. I have changed my lifestyle and god I love what I am doing. Yes, my goal is to lose weight first, then body sculpt. I have an aunt who is a body builder and has been all her life. She spends 3 hours in the gym everyday, EVERY SINGLE DAY and she has 3 shakes per day and 2 meals, with 3 Protein bars, sports drinks, mad Water, etc. My aunt takes in 4000+ calories per day, per her words. I can't believe that. But she wouldn't lie. She's been doing this since I was a baby and guess what?? She's still alive! No complications, no organ issues, she lives a very normal athletes life and I want to as well. Nothing wrong with that. Not that I NEED to justify my diet with you but I will. I prefer to have 2 shakes a day b/c it makes me feel less groggy and keeps me feeling light on my feet. Whether you think that's normal or not, I don't really care. The fact remains that I am packing my body with mucho much Vitamins, protein and all that good stuff that you just can't get out of regular, steroid riddened meats or foods, with lots of preservatives and a bunch of other things I cant even pronounce, not to include pesticides. Please don't even get me started. Please do not compare me to your friend. At the same time, my goal is to be at my optimum health, so please understand that. I wear a sauna suit twice per week. You have your opinion about how healthy it is, but retaining too much water is not healthy. In fact BAD for you. I used to have watered out, swollen ankles and let me tell you. Those days are over. No more water ankles. The end goal for me is not thinner, it is a healthier me. Cinward, you stated normal exercise, normal foods. Seriously though, do you think that the foods you buy and eat are normal foods? Normal as far as American standars normal? Or normal as in, the most healthiest normal you can get. In that case, only organic foods would be normal and eating none of the meat that is farmed would be considered normal. Is normal exercise to you.. 15 minutes of cardio? There is no normal when it comes to body training. My diet is perfect for me and I am sure there is nothing wrong with it.
  12. Received a PM about my goals and weight loss, I completely understand about the possibility of organ damage should I lose too much weight too fast. Don't get me wrong, I do care about my organs and I want to keep my bladder and my liver, but I really can't stop what I'm doing. I feel guilty if I haven't gotten in my exercise first thing in the morning and then again at night. I beat myself up for that. Please be rest assured that I am doing alot of the "Right" things. Here is my typical day: Typical Day for Me 16.5-18 mile bike ride (35 miles Sunday's only, so typically 120+ miles per week on the bike) 2-4 mile walk/jog/run 200 crunches B-Isopure Protein shake S-Light Dannon Yogurt Drink L-1/2 Myoplex Protein Shake S-1-2 slices of lunch meat (lean turkey or chicken) D-3-6 oz of food, which would include Baked Fish (Talapia/Tuna/Salmon) 1 cup of broccoli, 1/4 cup of baked potatoes 64fl oz - 128fl oz of Water (sometimes more depending on the distance I bike) I'm not perfect, no one is. I also beat myself up for having a cup of ice cream in May when I took my kids to their dance rehearsal. Oh yeah, I even had Kettle corn one night as I worked. Yes I am losing weight pretty fast comparitively speaking but as you see, I do more than the average banded person as far as exercise. Now that I have joined Gold's Gym, I will be bumping up my cardio, putting in 2-3 hours, switching it up from home workouts to in gym, elliptical/propak and soon weight lifting. I have hired a personal trainer who will get me reacclamated with the machines, to include alot of new machines and will get me lifting weights and body sculpting. The band was my very first move in showing how serious I am about getting healthier. I biked only up to 6.5 miles prior to being banded. That was all I could do. I would be exhausted before I could reach my driveway, but now I can do up to 40 miles in almost 3 hours and I know I am progressing. I am not bragging here. Please don't take it as that. Just know that with time, we get better at what we do. I'm getting very serious about my health, my overall physical appearance and mental health as well. If I should damage any of my precious organs, then that will be on me and I have been warned. I will speak with my PCP and a Nutritionist next week to ensure I am not doing something that would kill me... (not doing what I'm doing now WILL kill me
  13. Wow! Thank You. Haha, Wow! Wow That's A Confidence Booster, Yeahhh Baby!
  14. Look Again, Pic Updated!!!
  15. FREE BAG, FREE T-SHIRT, FREE SWEAT TOWEL, FREE WATER BOTTLE
  16. I know, I'm a freak about "Goal" now. Some people say it's not obtainable, some say, it's ludicrous, some say it's not typical. I say..... "watch me" We are gonna drink it up girl. You just tell me where you wanna go and we will throw up some ideas. LOL! I know of 2 really bad places I'd love to take my lil sis, it's called "Lucky Chang's" - it's a drag queen restaurant. Your waiters are all queens, in drag, like LAs Vegas Drag. lol and another place is .. "La Maison De Sade" it's an S&M Supper Club. She want's to have a memorable weekend so I'd like to accomplish that. What do you think? lol!
  17. Hey Lins12, I'm alive and well. Ty, I'm glad you joined GFG, things are so much more fun with you here too. You have a zany personality. love it!
  18. Telly commented on lins12's blog entry in lins12's Journal
Aww. Don't deprive yourself, just use the "moderation" rule. Instead of a tablespoonful, use a teaspoon. Give yourself that "one thing" treat everyweek if you have to so you don't go crazy and binge. You can do this lins12. The food is talking to you. Tune it out, lol.
  19. You are doing terrific. I'm proud of you. Glad you joined GFG Club and you are moving moving moving! Yay for Ali!
  20. Mary Ann, I'm glad I opted not to do the Open RNY procedure. Just didn't feel right, didn't seem right. I love this band. Haha Beyonce? Pfffffft! In my dreams. Thank you for the compliment. My body has quite a bit of work to do yet but I'm trying and baby...when I reach my goal, I'm posting full nudes on here, lol! Ok maybe not full nudes, unless it's in the Plastic Surgery thread. I will have a TT done and won't mind showing a before surgery/after surgery photo. But yeah, I'll be most proud then. Thank you again Mary Ann, muaaahhhzzz!
  21. Definately would love to. I used to live in Park Slope on Prospect Park West, (150 Prospect Park West). Right on the 9th street entry to the park where they play all the summer music. I lived upstairs and would just open my window to hear the bands play and watch them on stage. I could walk to the theatre about 4 blocks down the street and my lil boy used to go to Holy Name School, 8 blocks down. We used to frequent "Dizzy's" on the corner of 9th and shopped at the flea markets there. God life was sweet but expensive. My apartment ran $2,600.00 per month. Life was crazy there but I had fun. Would love to meet up with you for dinner out or a night out on the town. My plan is to be at goal by late August (135lbs) and then party it up! You will have to join us.
  22. 23. Haha, too cute. I used to live in Brooklyn and worked at Pfizer in midtown, 42nd street. I was afraid to miss things too. NYC is a crazy life and major fun if you are single and childless. I wanna move back but it aint gonna happen. I'm headed to NYC in August. Mini-vaca with sis as a mini reward and first sis-to-sis outting.
  24. Haha MaryB. You are so cute. I am jealous of your pool. I can't wait to get ours built. Emilee, I hope everything is well and that you are having fun. The most important thing is to maintain, you are on vacation so remember that when you don't lose as much as you normally would. You are doing great. Don't beat yourself up over that babycakes. Plans for today 18 mile bike hike 4 miles treadmill 200 crunches 30 pushups End of workout!!!
  25. Everyone is doing lovely as usual. Folks, we are allowed to take a day off every blue moon, no problem. Today I biked 18miles (god this one hurt, seriously hurt, the wind was fierce). 4 mile bike ride tonight before bed.
