Gone for Good Club - June 2006
Hey, What a bollox. Ok, very fixable. Let's just all clear this up right here... What's up with July? I will post weekly updates with weight loss but not going to do the scorecard. Is there going to be a July thread? Something maintenance free from P'Nut having to post updates to the weight loss? Maintenance Free - GFG July (No Challenge) kinda thing? Funny, it's nice that you want to help out a friend. Let's just all be very clear here. Thanks.

Star Jones....leaving "the view"
I saw Star Jones tonight on Larry King Live. She was very intelligent, very quick, never at a loss for words and was very adamant that she felt she needed "medical intervention" to live. She also made it very clear that her WLS is her private business and the other women respected her privacty. She let it be known that Barbara Walters knew about her leaving the show back in April, as Barbara was told by NBC Producers to give Star her resignation. It was pretty interesting and though she's done and been through quite a bit since her marriage, writing her book and her WLS, I for one believe that she should continue to lead her own life. She's a celebrity who didn't wish to openly talk about her WLS. Larry made it a big deal that Star received quite alot of freebies for her wedding, (just like J.Lo and many other stars). So what??? Just b/c she's a celebrity doesn't mean she has to publically announce her WLS to the world. There is such a thing as Patient Privacy. According to "People" magazine, she lost her credibility and tainted the VIEW because: 1. She did not openly announce her WLS 2. She got too many freebies for her wedding 3. She sold her wedding pictures and the VIEW did not have the rights to them (which they were upset about) 4. She wrote a book and the VIEW did not condone it How ludicrous. I feel for her but I also know that it's a cut throat world. At least she's a lawyer and has that under her belt to continue on. Though she's not my favorite person in the world, she's a tough one and I admire that.

DeLarla, I don't pounce on you everytime you post. You just aren't THAT important to me for that. I am, however, responding to your question which was directed to me. I understand that this thread was about an annual celebration and I stated that I was R.S.V.P.-ing. You did not have a list of people that were not welcomed to your party did you? Now that you made the comment that you thought I was trying to be cute about R.S.V.P.ing to your party and you publically called me an asshole ..which you recently covered up with a "Request information from delarla@juno.com" only goes to show that maybe you should be a little more specific about who you really wanted to come to your shindig. Personally, in my humble opinion, I believe you pretended to be your husband (Mr. Bones) who posted a blatant bash on one of our beloved members, calling her ungodly things that no man should ever call a woman, while using your sn. Thank god that thread was deleted. But in all seriousness, that behavior is not supportive to any labbanded person, it's purely pathetic! You just have to stop, look and listen to yourself DeLarla. On another note, you accused me of crapping on your thread, of stalking you and oh yes you went as far as to threaten to sick dogs on anyone else that you didn't like that would actually show up at your party..only shows how ill you really are. I think my interest in you is purely to observe deviant behavior. I have a degree in Science, Forensic Science and one of my favorite subjects was Sociology and Deviant Behavior. You are fascinating at most.

PNut, You are really a genuinely nice person. You amaze me. Your heart and demeanor is so humanitarian I think I almost cry everytime you post. I'm serious. You are pure. It's just crazy how your aura glows on a forum. Even when someone pounces on you or questions your agenda, you are consistently positive. I don't think I've ever seen or met anyone quite like you. At first I was skeptical that someone could be so happy, supportive, determined and positive about everything all the time, at least here on LBT. I even became a little paranoid at some point where I thought maybe the advice you gave me was to embarrass me but I have to admit that I was wrong. You were genuinely concerned about my health. I was losing weight very fast and there really is such a thing as damaging your organs in that respect. Thank god it didn't happen to me but it made me take things easier. You're a good person. It's been a pleasure and will continue to be.

Band lost its glow?
It's never ever too late. Tomorrow is a new day. Bandedmama you can do this and you know exactly what you have to do. Make the band new again. 2 years out, pssssssh. That just means you know how to work the band ..from experience. You work it and make it count. You knew exactly how to get 80lbs off. Now it's a mere 50lbs, that's just losing 10lbs 5 times. You got this!
-
Would you do it again or choose another option?
I completely understand where you are coming from. You are feeling the same way I felt when I decided enough was enough. Your mentality is exactly how it should be for you to win this. You're going to do it and you are going to be very happy. I can just tell.

Gone for Good Club - June 2006
Funny, I have my reasons why I'm not participating. Like right now, I've been on this lbt almost all day. I've got work to do, gym to go to and a movie to see tonight. This LBT is addictive and I have a very addictive personality. I can get totally addicted to a game like The Sims 2, which I was for about 2 months. I've got to push away.
