I was banded yesterday and they told me three years. The care I got was good. althoughI did feel like I was another number in a way. For all the screwups and misinformation, they gave me supposedly $500 worth of metagenics but honestly it doesnt look like that. There was only two bags. What has everyone else recieved from TLBC?

I'm so nervous... I have my sister sending me every horror story possible about weight loss surgeries on the net. grrrr..this is something I dont need to hear when I'm going in tomorrow for surgery! I cant remember what TLBC told me about the fills. I will ask again tomorrow.

Well I got a hold of Greg today and he said he will deduct the cost of the hotel from my overall cost..so thats great!! He did say with the reduction in price that is one of the downfalls now with TLBC. But since they did tell me that they would cover it they are going to follow thru. YIPEE! I am staying at the Days hotel..anyone know if its a nice place or should I go to the Holiday Inn? I was also freaking out that my Metagenics never came in ..I guess there was a mistake and a back order for it so I'm late getting it...but they are aware of it and they assured me it will be in by friday....whoo...this is all too stressful.

Very interesting.....I have talked with another lady who is going in 8 days after me to get her band and shes paying ($16K like me) and they are covering her hotel costs.

OK can someone PLEASE tell me if I'm getting screwed around by TLBC. I was originally told they would cover my hotel costs and now that TLBC lowered their prices by $2000.00 due to the economy..they say they wont cover my hotel now. I thought I was also told that they will be sending me my liquid pre-op supplement as well as vitamins in the mail. Now they are saying no the supplement is one I have to make myself. Just confused..can anyone help me with this one?

I do have one question...last month I had my ACL repaired and I'm still taking T3's for the pain...is that going to create a problem for the surgery..should I stop taking them and deal with the pain ? I'm so excited for this!!! The MOST AMZING thing has happened...my brain has started to think of me thin again. I have been having wonderful dreams and in them I am skinny!! I havent dreamt of that in a long time...well since I was skinny.lol

wow we are going to be one day apart! I'm getting nervous because i still havent got my pre-op diet sent to me yet and I have 8 more days to go. I'm so done with the fat clothes...I'm having a "burn fatty pants party" I think!! haha. I dont have many outfits to wear anymore that are actually comfortable. I priced out Lapband in Traverse City MI and it was 18K plus they had meeting after meeting and they were really choosy on who gets to get it done.

I will definatly look into actagall!! I'm going to see about anti-naseau patch as well, just in case I get that nasty flu bug this season. Congrats on your weight loss thats amazing!! I just did my blood work and EKG yesterday so I'm on my way...not looking forward to this liquid diet. So I thinkI'm overindulging now before the start of this diet lol

is that common to get pain in your shoulder>? Plus I'm nine days away from surgery and I need to know what I'm too expect.

YAY! Just managed today to get the money to do this..so now I'm waiting for the Toronto Lapband clinic to call with the details.!! SO excited and scared. I hope there is no regrets!

was everyone satisfied with TLBC? I am looking into going there. I am a northerner and its about a 9 hr drive to get to Toronto so I'm worried if I have any complications that I have to make that drive to get any help. Anyone else live far from Toronto? I have been talking to Dorothy from TLBC and she seems super!

Thanks Cat... I have reached a pint in my life where I just have lost hope. I have no will power to do anymore diet fads. I need this I think because I just cant walk away which is what I typically do. I am now at a weight I have never been before and I find I'm getting to be a hermit..I hate going outside.I dont want people to see me. Is this band a lot of daily work or is it easy to live with? I just got an exciting call from the toronto Lap band center that becasue of the economy they are dropping the price by $2000.00. Congrats Cat on getting below 200!!

Hi everyone..I have been going through and learning lots of info on here and finally decided to create an account on here so I can chat with people. The only thing thats holding me back right now from the surgery is the money. Here in Ontario is costs $18,000 so I'm selling my precious brand new snowmachine to get this done. It will be worth it. My whole life I have been overweight and yo-yo'd always. Just last year I had a motorcycle accident and now my knee is all buggered up and exercise is limited and I feel this my only hope to get the one thing I've always dreamed for. Anyways I cant wait to get to know many of you and learn as much as I can before I get this done. Debbie
