Jane have you ever hit a brick wall before when dealing with people and you seem to get no where??? I have made several calls and e-mails and I'm not getting anywhere..SOOOOOO I thought maybe since this is a support website maybe just maybe someone else might have a better idea than what I have been trying. Thanks to Doddie she did give me several ideas. Guess you didnt read that part eh?

Thank you Doddie..that gives me some hope..I do have a e-mail from them saying they will send me a fill person if none is available to me...which they later recanted and said no.

I JUST WANT TO SCREAM!!!! TLBC has done nothing but lie to me the whole time I have dealt with them! They told me they had a fill dr in Sudbury then After I got my surgery they said they are in the process of training one ...NOW THEY ARE TELLING ME THEY DONT HAVE ONE PERIOD! I could have saved 8hrs of travel if they did. They have mislead me and lied in SO many ways. I wish I had a lawyer in my back pocket.. I cant afford a $600 plane ticket evertime I need a fill. I just want to cry right now.

They promised me a gift certificate for god knows where...for all the trouble they put me through for trying to cancel my first fill. So when I got to my fill appt they didnt have it on them and that they will send it to me....I bet it never shows up!

they gave me the same B-S story about how after my first fill I can go to Sudbury which is so much closer than Toronto. After I paid them the money and had the surgery NOW they are telling me that they are in the process of training someone in Sudbury...but they wouldnt give the name to investigate it myself...hmmmm. I wonder if this should be taken to the better buisness bureau??

I AM SO MAD!!!! I was supposed to go in for my first fill on Monday (15th)and I just get a call today saying (like its not a big deal) that my appointment has been moved to the Wednesday! Its a big deal to me..I had to book time off and reschedule clients from my business so I could go...I had already booked my hotels rooms and all TLBC gives me is 4 days notice!!! ALL BECAUSE they are shooting a commercial at TLBC!! I pitched the biggest fit and I think I scared the woman because she put me on hold then told me that I can still go in Monday! I will NEVER recommend TLBC to anyone..I have put up with to much crap from them..they need to start treating people better than this. Sorry I had to vent!

I'm really dissapointed with TLBC. I had Dorothy who was my consultant and I found her kinda frustrating to deal with. Then I later found out she was no longer working there. They wouldnt tell me why she was gone either. Its kinda suspicious that Jill is no longer there as well. TLBC made a bunch of promises to me and then tried to recant on them. they also told me they HAVE a fill nurse in Sudbury closer to me than Toronto so I asked for the name and info about who and where they are and now I'm being told they dont have one established yet !! So they lied to me again and I am scared as hell about my future dealings with them. If I would have known about all this B.S I would have looked into the Mississauga clinic instead

I didnt get to meet the dr until surgery day..other than that I just dealt with my consultant. I just had my band last week so I cant answer any other questions yet

sista ..you are too funny!! Nice to see people with sense of humours on here!:rolleyes2:. :w00t:In just a little over a week I have lost 7lbs doing the pre-op and having surgery..I'm feeling my excitement for LIFE coming back. Its great to read of others accomplishments as well..keep them coming

OMG I cant believe something so small as an identical signatures would actually pose a problem to someone and to e-mail them to remove it!! Canadiangirl...copy mine anytime as well!!

:mad::frown: I'm So glad you are doing better!!! I cannot wait for the cream soups!!! I'm just going nuts with the damn clear fluids LOL!!!! One problem that i have is my port area is so sore!!! It feels like I have a knife in my stomach everytime I move! Mornings are horrible...I have drained my daughters Childrens Tylenol bottles :thumbup:. TLBC only gave me a prescription for Demerol which doesnt even take the pain away..it just makes you sleep!! Its great for someone who doesnt have a life and has no children!!. I was scared the other night when i developed a 100.5 temperature! I was terrified that it was an infection but thanksfully just the flu! But I still feel wiped out.:w00t: :sad:

My instructions from Dr Yau is clear fluids from day 2-5 then on to cream soups and meal replacements then on to pureed food...I'm three days post surgery and I'm still having troubles with clear fluids. Maybe things are just to rushed for you?

oh for the record I put the advil in my hot broth and let it get super slimey first!

Thanks Lcubed! I did end up taking one gel cap and followed it with hot beef broth and no problems.I figured it would melt it..now I'm feeling a bit better!! I would be to worried to try it with a big round hard pill right now. I was desperate.

i have had major gas..I want to burp in the worst way!!lol but I cant and i have been drinking my water and chewing gas-x like there is no tomorrow (exagerating) but i have taken about 4 -5 today. anyone have any ideas?

Well all I have heard about is crushing HARD pills ..there has not been one mention of gel caps...after all isnt this a forum to learn from? You only get the answer if you ask them RIGHT??? So excuse me for asking a question. I have read on other forums where people are doing things totally different in other regions.,

good luck to everyone being banded. I got mine done on the 13th ..feeling pretty tender and I was wondering- taking a gel cap Advil bad for you? All my Dr gave to me for a prescription was demerol and i find that it never takes pain away just puts me to sleep.

i'm so miserable right now..having bad sleeps cant get comfy!!! where my port is is EXTREMELY sensitive..this is going to be quite an adjustment...How long before everyone was feeling normal again after the surgery??

unfortunatly i'm 9 hrs away from my clinic. I am feeling pretty sore today..just below my ribs are some good size brusies and one of my gauze pads is totally full of blood..I dont have anything to replace it with. laying down and getting up is the worst right now. I have decided to not use pain killers only because they prescibed demerol and all that does for me is put me to sleep. hopefully tomorrow is much better for my drive home. Congrats MAry on your bandiversary!! how you liking it?
