  1. I have heard that Medicare does cover it. The doctor has to have some kind of certification for it to cover it.
  2. My doctor has me on 5 days of low carb, high protein and then 2 days of clear liquids. It hasn't been too bad so far. I have been keeping my food journal in www.sparkpeople.com. I love it. I input everything I consume. Good luck on your banding .. you getting the Realize band or the allergan? I am getting the Realize. I have been starting to stock up for after the surgery. I will go Wednesday and get some last minute stuff. Keep in touch!
  3. I have shot my load plenty of times when having oral sex. It was the best that I have ever cum
  4. Let me know what BCBSIL tells you. I had them until June and got changed to Anthem Blue Cross of California. They approved without any hassle.

  6. Emails from LAPBAND talked just started coming in funny. It is being sent from httpd@cp.securedcluster.com and there is no Subject .. And the message has garbage at the top .. like an email smtp header .. Anybody else experiencing this that get emails from LAPBANDTALK?
  7. You will have to go thru 6 months of supervised weight loss plan, so it will be 7 months until your surgery.
  8. No problem, just thought maybe I had missed the boat. Thanks for talking about the product in the 1st place. I will buy some to try. I have some other samples of other things and will see what works best for me. God Bless You and thanks for sharing..
  9. Only have 1 week pre-op diet. I start tomorrow.
  10. Breakfast - Western Omelete lunch - Fried Rice Supper - Fried Catfish and Onion Rings Last Day before going on Pre-op diet
  11. When I go to the website that you have listed .. it shows me 24 vials for $56 .. not 48.
  12. Just curious .. which band did you get .. Lapband or Realize Band?
  13. Yes, you should call them and have them send you the policy information on weight loss surgery.
  14. I am getting banded on February 6th with the Realize Band at Princeton Hospital in Birmingham Alabama.
  15. Just get a fart catheter and be done with it. What is a fart catheter .. walking ... it will help you get rid of the gas .. more you do .. the more you get out of your system.:tt2:
  16. The insurance was probably changed due to the company changing insurance companies. If this is the case, then insurance will definitely not cover it. I would do like an earlier posts did is inquire if this is okay with the contracts that are established between the new insurance company and the surgeon.
  17. Yes is is very annoying when it barely hits the toilet seat when sitting down to poop.
  18. I just ordered mine for $7.95 shipping and handling .. My surgery is probably within next 2 weeks.
  19. If you diet the week before, you will reduce the size of your liver and make things much easier for your doctor. I would go on a low carb diet for 5 days and 2 days of liquid. This will reduce the liver significantly.
  20. I have Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield of CA. They will not. Here is the clause; HCPCS S2083 Adjustment of gastric band diameter via subcutaneous port by injection or aspiration of saline Note: medical necessity criteria for adjustments are based on whether or not the original surgery was considered medically necessary
  21. How does your lengthly response deal with the question .. Will insurance pay for fills when they don't pay for WLS .. Did you mispost?
  22. I don't think neither of these are deals. Do you have other doctors in the area that perform the surgery?
  23. I would call the insurance company and see how much/if any the insurance will pay for the fills. This would be a factor that should be know before making the decision. Also you need to check out the place for $95. You then have to decide which is better, the difference in costs for the fills for the 45 minute drive time. The $500 would pay for 5 fills right off the bat at the $95 place. I myself would go for the $95 if they check out.
  24. What does the $3000 cover and what does the $750 cover?
  25. What does BS stand for ... Band Stupidity?
