The insurance was probably changed due to the company changing insurance companies. If this is the case, then insurance will definitely not cover it. I would do like an earlier posts did is inquire if this is okay with the contracts that are established between the new insurance company and the surgeon.

If you diet the week before, you will reduce the size of your liver and make things much easier for your doctor. I would go on a low carb diet for 5 days and 2 days of liquid. This will reduce the liver significantly.

How does your lengthly response deal with the question .. Will insurance pay for fills when they don't pay for WLS .. Did you mispost?

I don't think neither of these are deals. Do you have other doctors in the area that perform the surgery?

I would call the insurance company and see how much/if any the insurance will pay for the fills. This would be a factor that should be know before making the decision. Also you need to check out the place for $95. You then have to decide which is better, the difference in costs for the fills for the 45 minute drive time. The $500 would pay for 5 fills right off the bat at the $95 place. I myself would go for the $95 if they check out.
