  1. Hi Sherrylynn and welcome!!! :welcomeB: Congrats on your upcoming banding date! :clap2: Most certainly do a ton of reading/research (on here is great...the general/support threads)....make yourself aware of the "probs" that can occur...but don't read about them on here....no need unless you experience it yourself.....
  2. Yessssss, yes she is......very crafty indeeeeeedy!
  3. Tks for the tip.....I'll see what I can do. yeah Neenagh...I remember reading that too (during all my pre-op research) but they were usually referring to reflux and I don't think this is what that is since it isn't "painful" (per say) or burning....but yes, I will do a search and see if I can come up with something similar!
  4. Soooooo, hmmmmmmmmmmmm I seem to be having probs adjusting to my fill. It's like I'm having to "learn" or something all over again. This bites. Maybe it is because my last fill was in Aug and I forget how it feels or maybe it is because there is more restriction now (or combo of those)....but I have a "feeling" in there and I can't decipher it. I don't know if it is my "hungry" feeling, my "full" feeling, or my "ohmigawd, one more bite and I might PB feeling". *sigh*. It's making me very nervous.... Also, the last two nights (after I've gone to bed) I've had these horrible gurgle sounds that are VERY VERY VERY loud....at first it was hilarious...it sounded like a baby alien was screeching and trying to come out my mouth. Also, some of the times (not all) I get a bit of liquid coming up.....it wasn't so funny after it ended up disturbing my sleep for the past two nights. This has never happened to me before. I know it isn't acid reflux because it isn't burning or painful (like I'm told that condition is)....so not sure what it is and I hope it will go away soon. I really don't think I'm too tight...AND I'm not eating prior to going to bed or anything (& this goes on all through the night).....I know some liquid came up sometimes while I was sleeping, as I would wake up coughing/choking. I talked to AngelBear and she said she experienced something similar and it went away after a week.....anyone else have something like this happen to them? I tell ya that, and this continuous "feeling" in there.....I don't like it!! Do you think the feeling will go away.....did you guys have this sensation in there for several days past your fill (those of you that are well restricted, that is)? Geez, just when I thought I had a handle on all this......bam! :cry
  5. That song brings back so many memories.....when I was 13, we drove from one end of Canada to the other (we were moving) in a small Volkswagon Rabbit...my folks, my sister (older by 18 months) and myself. That was obviously the ONLY song my sister knew because she sang it the ENTIRE trip over and over and over and over!!!!! Good memory now but at the time I would wanna SCREAM whenever I heard that song!!! (and she did NOT have any singing talent....so you can imagine!) LOL That was one looooooooooooooooong trip! :nervous
  6. Wow ....I hear ya though Cloe....sorta bad news and good news all rolled up into one. She's gotta learn though, eh?!!
  7. Hey Cloe....just wanna say....I LIKES your new avatar!!! :)
  8. No Doriana, I don't utilize MSN. Yes, winter has finally hit us, I think.....leaving in a few mins for work ...a lil' earlier than usual so that I can brave the elements!
  9. You just shut your young mouth there Mandi!!! The ARE still called "Streetcars" in TO, ya know....the electric ones...not the buses....
  10. Cloe....I've been wearing a knee brace on the elliptical and so far so good (mind you, I'm also still taking the pills morning and night!). I tried the bike with the brace but it was too uncomfortable....I couldn't get the brace adjusted so that it wouldn't rub the wrong way ....so I did it without and no problem....it's a different type of action on the knee though, so I think it will be ok without the brace when I'm on the bike.
  11. Could it beeee a faded rose from daaaaays gone byyyyyy??? (I'm impressed Mandi; I figured it would be before your time!).
  12. I'm not too far from you....I'm up the 400 in the Barrie area. How am I doin'? Alright...but never as well as I'd like to be doin'!! LOL (loss wise that is!!!).
  13. Green: I must admit, I know my way around TO by car pretty well (and when I say TO I also include North York, Mississauga etc) but if I were to bus or subway it.....eep!!! I haven't done that enough....just the TTC from Yorkdale to Union....that is it! (and the odd streetcar up and down Queen).
  14. I was surprised too Doriana....I was never told to wait that long to do any ab work (ie. situps, crunches etc). I was told 6 weeks and then just go with it depending on how you feel. I was WELL into it by the 3rd month! I wouldn't worry.
  15. LOL sorry if I was a wee bit "sassy" Time2Live!!! *snickers* Patience is key though...I mean....I know how you feel, been there...(still am there most of the time!).....like you I seem to diminish my accomplishments and look at what I still have left to do (not just in the weight aspect....many parts of my life).....logically I know I should be happy and thankful with my progress so far....and I actually am VERY happy about it but like you....I want more and I want it yesterday!! LOL. Lookin' at your ticker.....maaaaaaaaaaaaan, 58 lbs since July!!!! When you stop to think about it, that is GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREAT!!!!!
  16. ROTFLMAO @ Neenagh!!!! Good one!:clap2:
  17. ya....on the bum thing I hear ya Neenagh...it was long for the first go....but cardio wise I knew I'd be okay...been doing the elliptical and other exercise for a long time now....it was just the recumbant bike that was a new tool for me!
  18. Tried out my brand spankin' new recumbant bike today....I rode it for 50 minutes....which resulted in a distance of 20.5 km. Yahh Babbbyyy!! It was pretty comfy although when I got off and stood up, my butt was sore! But it wasn't sore while I was using it!
  19. YOWZERS!!!! :clap2: :clap2: You are the incredible shrinking woman!!!! Way to go Cloe!! You look amazing!! And...yes, I agree....10 yrs younger!!! (at least!). You should be so dang proud of yourself! Thanks for sharing!
  20. Actually.....if I were to drive from TLBC to the "heart" of Mississuaga it would only take me 30 mins (more in rush hour). Hope onto the Gardiner Expressway from Spadina and take it to the 427....take the 427 north and voila....you are in Mississuaga in minutes.
  21. you really think that because the scale hasn't changed in 10 days that you are due for a fill? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. It is possible that you may be losing inches throughout your body....it isn't always the scale that is the tell tale sign. Ten days doesn't seem near enough of a plateau to have a fill....migawd, if so, I would have had a dozen fills by now!!! IMHO.
  22. never give Cloe the benefit of the doubt... !!! It will be a foregone conclusion which road she takes!!! MMMMWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
  23. Two more pounds to go and it will no longer be a lie!!! When? Not soon enough!!!! Oh trust me, y'all will hear about it when it is no longer a lie!
  24. sorry to hear about the back troubles Irish.....good luck with it all; I hope you find some relief!
  25. I've seen a lot of questions lately on what things stand for....so the attached is a good thread....has not only band related acronyms but also general computer lingo. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/abbreviations-and-they-t7959.html?t=7959
