  1. ooop, ok, I just saw on another post that you are having it done at TLBC> in that case, the woman you spoke to for your consult was Nisrine. Yes, she did have the band a few yrs ago...I've seen her before pics and the transformation is likely one of the most amazing I've ever seen (ie. even considering the photos on the general thread!). Just WAIT until you see her....she is stunningly beautiful....very exotic looking and....I really have no words, you have to see her for yourself...she is sooooooooooooooo gorgeous. I know the others on here from TLBC will agree! She is a walking advertisement, for sure! Several of the post-op coords have also had the band....so you'll be in good hands.
  2. That is awesome Yasmina.....2 Feb is right around the corner... Is it being done at TLBC?
  3. yea and don't ask me about an entire tub of Hagen-Daas Cookie dough icecream either! (in one sitting)..... :nervous :kiss
  4. Best o the Irish Luck to ya Irishmist!!! Hopefully you find a physio place you are comfortable with etc and it helps do the trick. We're sota neighbours....I live around Barrie area....Mr Yoda & I go to Newmarket quite a bit for shoppin' and snoopin'!
  5. Tks Neenagh, I'll be waitin' for my official weigh in day on Sat before I change the ticker though!
  6. Neenagah....it happened....don't worry about it...nothin' you can do now. Besides you enjoyed them as you ate them I bet!!! Mmmmmmmmm yummy!!!! Big deal....one slip up.....no problem..... ...and I agree with mandi...I bet it will have little to nil effect!
  7. omigawd you guys!!!!! Of course she ain't talkin' about peein'!!!!! LMAO!!!! I take benefibre almost every morning....I mix it into my witches brew (protein drink) for breakfast.....don't notice it at all.
  8. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo, not two of youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!
  9. You'll be a bandit in no time Becca!!! By the way....where exactly did you go to in Mexico?
  10. Don't forget....being only 12 days post op you will still have some swelling inside...and that is likely what you feel the restriction from. Most people will find they need a first fill after 6 weeks....you'll know by how much food you can eat at that timeframe...if you feel it is quite a bit too much than you will know you don't have any "real" restriction from the band. The lucky ones who actually have band restriction without a fill are few and far between (tho I do envy them!).
  11. Bandiva: that is awesome that Mr Bandiva is going to go to China too!! YAY!!! I hope it works out and you guys can go....that would be kewl and then you can tell us all about it! Yes, it is phase and you are right, there will be many more....but if does sounds like overall you have a really great positive attitude about it!! Thatis half the battle....it helps when you can logically "see" things even though you don't feel like you do "in the moment"! Be sure to tell us how the support group mtg went....I will be curious as to how many of the people who had the wls have the band compared to the RnY....I truly hope you are not the only banded one; as the issues with both are so very different and sometimes the banded folks get overlooked.....if you were the only bandit, I hope you were treated well......(and no, we don't feel like you are cheating on us!!!) LOL....
  12. LMAO @ Astrotoes...okay, your post cracked me UP!!!! What a visual!! Deltadawn: great to hear from you!! So happy to hear about your new-found happiness!! That is awesome! By the way, from my understanding, Prague is one of THE most beautiful cities in the world....you've chosen wisely!!! Have fun with your trip planning! Oh yeah, and congrats on meeting your Xmas goal!!!! WOOOO HOOOOO :clap2:
  13. ljgnorth: give them a call...it is harder to not respond to a phone call than it is to an e-mail. As far as how much yougurt...pretty much as much as you want! I would generally have the little single servings....typically I would have one each for breakfast/lunch/dinner and then one as a morning/afternoon/evening snack. Sometimes I might skip the snack one and double up on a meal one....it's pretty flexible.
  14. Hopefully Mookie is busy recuping!!! BECCA!!! More details on the vacation please!! Some of us have to live vicariously through you!
  15. Bandiva: just to put in perspective: I weighed 212 on 9 Dec....and gradually went up over the holidays (in part because I wasn't able to exercise)....by the end of the holidays I was at 219....once I started exercising I was down to 215 in 2 weeks. Then, I got my latest fill on Fri. and I am now at about 210 (not changing my ticker until I "officially" weigh myself on Sat). All that to say you can plateau for a few weeks and it is normal.....especially when you have't had your first fill yet! Hang in there. And though the fill will certainly help....don't expect it to do all the work for ya...cause it won't!!!
  16. Yes, the Prince Arthur Medical Centre is the TLBC. There are a few hotels within a few blocks. I had to stay overnight actually at the clinic (due to sleep apnea) so Mr Yoda stayed at the Holiday Inn (2 blocks) away on Bloor. But there is another one right there on Bloor as well as well as several on Avenue Rd. I recommend you call TLBC and ask them....they also may be able to recommend one that they may have special deals set up with (rates etc).
  17. me too!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. 10 cc band. My fill is now 7.5 ccs
  19. ditto to what Cloe said!!! Yeah, I feel a big difference right now with my fill. I'm back to that "frightened" stage where I'm afraid to eat too much ....I sooooooooooooo don't want to experience a bad pb.....or anything dreadful! Ironically, I'm trying to eat more.....I haven't been having much. Example of yesterday's intake: Breakfast: Protein Shake Snack: pudding Lunch: 3 crackers, 2 pieces of cheese Supper: 3 lil' meatballs with tomato sauce on them (those tiny M&M meatballs) Snack: nothing. See, not enough, eh? I know it. Don't yell at me.
  20. Doriana....TLBC treats the subsequent fills (ie. after the first) on an individual basis....they will ask you questions...about how much you can eat, if you feel full, how much you've lost...tightness etc....they will decide from that. There is no actual "template"....it is very very unlikely you will get more than 2 ccs...they will MOST certainly NOT put you at capacity (migawd woman!!). I don't know what you mean by "what happens after your 3rd fill".....you can have any number of fills (until you reach capacity or until you reach your sweet spot). Some will get to their sweet spot in 2 or 3 (or 0) fills....others may need 6 or 7 or whatever....tis different for everyone and depends on how slow you increase it etc (slower is better!). The fills or the number of fills you have is not related to when you get to your goal weight. "how long after your 3rd fill could you get another one"?....some won't eve need a 3rd fill (lucky buggers!). You can ask for another fill (whichever number that is) after you notice that despite doing everything "right" and following the "rules" you aren't losing (ON AVERAGE) 1-2 lbs per week...then discuss it and ask for a small fill to help you get to your "sweet spot". Because you've only had one fill it is VERY normal to feel no to little restriction...so no worries. But remember, just cause you "can" eat doesn't mean you should always let yourself!! Good luck with your second fill to both you and your hubby!! May this be the sweet spot for you both!
  21. That is awesome....be sure to let us know when you're surgery date is!! and....good luck tomorrow!
  22. (((((hugz))))) no worries Cloe....it is only because you are ill.....your body is smart and is is preseving itself....so holding on to fluid and fat cells etc....it'll be ok once your better again!
  23. Are u tryin' to make a point Cloe???
  24. u didn't say which clinic you were going to!!! Makes a difference.
  25. Okay...tks guys.....makes me feel better knowing it has happened to others too. However, I'm HAPPY to report that last night was a good night! I only had a few gurgle sounds when I initially laid down....and no liquid and I slept thru the night with no issues! I think Mandi is correct....it might happen after a fill (adjusting to it etc) and it will go away on its own Astrotoes....don't worry about "choking".....it is like a chocking sensation but not exactly choking....your body will wake itself up right away and you will cough (if there is enough in there) and that is a good thing....so don't let if freak you out. Hey guys....LOL....think of me....I can't just wake up coughing, jump up and run to the bathroom to spit....I use a CPAP...!! So, I first have to take my mask off, get untangled from the hose etc....LOL. I put a lil' cup by my bed for just this purpose...but I haven't had to use it yet. I just finished some hot tea to help loosen me and I'll have my protein drink for breakfast while at work.....the feeling feels better today..... Thanks for listening to me whine the last couple of days..... BTW, I think my ticker is no longer a lie!!! WHOOOOT WHOOOOT!!! But I won't weigh until Sat.....so it might even have to be adjusted DOWNwards!!!
