  1. There is a small lake near where I live, it has a paved walking path all the way around. One time around is about 3 miles and really relaxes me being outside and enjoying nature.
  2. I am taking Bariactric Fusion which is a flavored chewable that includes viatamins, calcium and B12 all in one tab. I take two in the morning and two in the afternoon. They were recommended by my doctor. Bariatric Fusion - Post gastric bypass surgery nutrition created by a bariatric surgery team.
  3. I have had three unsusselful attemps at a fill. They poke and prod and have left me sore and bleeding. I am now told that in 4 weeks they will try again with ultra sound. My weight loss is still good so the Dr. isnt as concerned as I am
  4. You are at more of a risk from complications due to being over weight than the actual lap band surgery. There are several great books on Amazon to help both of you with this. I would recommend Lap Band Companion for him. I am 56 and had my first ever surgery ( knee) just a few months before Lap Band. I have never beed hospitalizeed and yes I was worried. Get some books on the subject .
  5. I attend the support group here in Raleigh monthly. They have different speakers and also break the group in two groups, one for bypass and one for Lapband where discussion and questions flow in a roundtable format.
  6. Could you post the information regarding the dates and location for Houston pleae. I did a search but couldnt find it. I did find a bariactric cruise for next spring, anyone from the forum going on the cruise? http://bsciresourcecenter.com/SGLUpdates/BariCruise_Flyer.pdf
  7. You are correct, I wasnt there and didnt taste the food, but I have been in the position before of explaining why the food was cold, not enough of it or poor choices. I still say the food is secondary for a convention, go for the networking and education. Then, if you dont like the food, go to a restaurant that you like.
  8. I did not attend the event but I do hold a convention and other meetings yearly on a regular basis. People do not attend a convention with the expectation of great foor or even large portions, they come for networking and knowledge. What ever the menu is, there will always be someone that didnt like the choices. The question people need to ask is: why should I attend and what will I benefit from attending?>
  9. Do you have a date and location for the next event?
  10. Hi There I am just over 5 weeks out from banding. I have stuck strictly to the diet that was given by my Doctor. The day after surgery I walked one mile and the next day I walked three miles. At three weeks out I statred going to the gym for one hour and rotating walking 3-6 miles the next day. I have been drinking 64-90 oz. of water a day and am dowm almost 40#. I know it can be discouraging but you need to work hard to shed the pounds.
  11. Excellany job! Keep up the hard work, I hope to be under"3' ine about 2-3 more weeks.
  12. Hi All I live in North Raleigh and was banded on August 28, 2008 by Dr. Enochs. I am just about 5 weeks out and have lost about 35 pounds. I would love to hear from some others livving in Raleigh:thumbup:
  13. I am a little over 5 weeks out and have had two vists for a fill and was told they cant locate it. I am seeing the Doctor next Thursday. If in fact mine needs re-positioning, what is the procedure?
  14. How did they reflip the port?
  15. I went in today for my first fill and was told that they couldnt find the port and it may have twisted to its side. I have an appointment next Thursday with the doctor to re-look at my port. Has anyone heard of this and what am I facing next???:w00t:
