I GOT BANDED ON THURSDAY 1/8/09. AND I HAD TO STAY OVER NIGHT. NOW THAT WAS NOT TOO BAD. BUT WHEN I HAD TO GO HOME IT WAS SO SO COLD OUTSIDE (LIKE 25) I FELT LIKE I COULD NOT CATCH MY BREATH. AND THAT IS WHEN IT HIT ME. I KEPT ASKING MYSELF WHY WOULD U DO THIS TO UR SELF. I COULD NOT HELP IT THE PAIN WAS INTENCE N I WAS TAKING SHALLOW BREATHS N CRYING.:smile: EVEN WHEN I GOT IN THE HOUSE I WAS STILL COLD. I RAN TO TAKE SOME PAIN MED'S N SAT DOWN WITH TONS OF BLANKETS N FELL ASLEEP. BUT AS I WOKE UP ALL I COULD SAY TO MY HUSBAND WAS GO GET ME AN ELECTRIC BLANKET AND A HEATING PAD. NOW THAT IS THE ONLY THING THAT SAVED ME.:w00t: IM NOW 3 DAYS POST-OP AND FEELING GREAT ALMOST 100%. SO JUST A LITTLE ADVICE FOR ANYONE WHO LIVES IN THE COLD STATES INVEST IN AN ELECTRIC BLANKET AND ALSO A HEATING PAD(USED IT ON MY BACK) IT HELPS WITH THE GAS TOO!! AND ALSO I WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL FOR THE ENCOURAGEMENT ON THURSDAY MORNING IN THE CHATROOM BEFORE MY SURGERY!!:cool2: THANX N BEST OF LUCK! YOCO28 JOANIE

:biggrin:Tomarrow is my big day! Today I started my clear liquids before surgery. Im so scared. But I cant wait to get it over with. Its weird that I think to my self the if something should happen that I elected to do this to myself. But then I think it is either this get banded or die young cause im over weight. :confused: Best of luck to everyone!!:grouphug: yoco28

Congrats on getting banded. I get mine on Thursday. My pre-op diet is for 10 days and all I can have is full liquids. Its soo hard to do cause I have 5 children and my friend had came over with chinese food n I could of died!! I was like cant u see im starving over here! But I guess it is something that we all must go through. It must be true it is a MIND THING. And also I came to realize that my family has to go on and eat like normal. It is not them that had this done! So best of luck to u!! Joanie yoco28

Hi, I will be starting my full liquid diet on monday 12/29/08. Do u have anything that works for u to make u feel full? When is ur surgery? Mine is 1/08/09.

HI. THIS IS MY FIRST TIME COMING TO THIS SITE. I STARTED IN FEB OF 08 AND HAVE YET TO HAVE IT DONE. I GOT HELD UP BECAUSE THE PRESSURE IN MY LUNGS WHERE 45 SO I HAD TO HAVE A STRESS TEST, SLEEP STUDY AND A BUBBLE STUDY. COME TO FIND OUT I HAVE A HOLE IN MY HEART. THE ECHO TESTING PEOPLE SAID THAT EVERYONE IS BORN WITH IT BUT IT CLOSES. BUT MINE DID NOT. SO IM STILL NOT SURE WHAT IS GOING ON TILL I GO BACK NEXT WEEK TO SEE THE HEART DR. DOES ANYONE HAVE OR KNOW SOMEONE THAT IS GOING THROUGH THE SAMETHING I AM? PLEASE LET ME KNOW!:cool2:
