i got my first fill about 2 week ago n i got 3cc put in n it did not help! i felt the same(hungery). i go for my 2nd fill on Wed. hope this does the trick!

when i got banded my lil monthly friend had to come 2 days before my surgrey! but all was fine u can get it done still even if its that time of the month.....lol also u can not wear ur bra. cause 1 incision is just below ur boob.........lol i did not wear my bra till i went for my post-op apt. a week later. hope i helped u out some. best of luck to u!

im 12 weeks post-op and the pain in the sholder will go away but when u start eating reg. food some food may bring it back. it just started happening to me, any type of food that gives u gas brings it on. and it is the worse pain. i have to walk to get it out from there. best of luck to u!

My doc said that I just had to switch to decaf. At first it was not the same n so I just stoped all together! But after I was banded I just had to have some so I gave the decaf a try again n it was fine. I had to add some suger free vanilla creamer and like 3 packs of equal to it. And now I drink it everyday. MUST HAVE IT.........lol

I got my first fill last week n I too feel the same as I did before. I got 3cc put in, n it is not working. I called the doc to see if i could come in before my next apt. which was not till 4/09 and I got it now for next Friday. And I also did not follow the fill diet. Mine was got filled on Wed. n had to stay on liquids till Monday.....well that did not happen! I had to eat on Thur, but I do only eat lil portions..........idk were in the same boat! Congrats! Im now 10 weeks post-op and it is still hard to see ppl eating what u cant have. It does get a lil easier. But it is hard to get used too! Best of luck to u!

The headache is the worst part! But by the forth day mine went away. It is crazy how ur body goes through a food withdraw! Best of luck to u!

The worst part of the pre-op diet is the headache! Mine lasted for 3 days. So make sure u have plenty of tylenol!

So I went for my first fill today and it went well.:cursing: Now I had to be there at 11:45am so I got there at 11:30am and all I saw was like 6 ppl in the waiting room. So they call me back and check my vitals and then they send me back to the waiting room. I sit there for about an hour till they call me and like 15 other ppl to the back.:cursing:

We r sent to this room that has shoe covers and a hair net that we must put on. So we r all just sitting there waiting for our turn to be filled. :huh2:Im sorry but it looked like the FAT FARM...lol, I could not stop laughing. :thumbup: It also reminded me of a blog I saw that was about the Dr. Suess "A star on my tummy". It was so like that....lol:biggrinjester:

So im like the 6 one to get my fill. It was not bad, it did not hurt. He put in 3cc. So now all I can have is clear liquids till Monday:thumbdown:.

Wow! u got ur surgery in 10 days after ur first apointment? So I guess u had no pre-op testing. How did it all go? Best of luck to u!

Today im going for my first fill! Im now 7 weeks post-op and hungery all the time. It seems like I dont have to even chew as much now. But I still need my food really moist still. Also when I drink I can just chug it down with no problem. So thank GOD im finely getting my fill today!:cursing:

Im a lil nervous. I dont know what to expect. Does it hurt? How do they know where the port is? ect.....I know my doc numbs u but it is just the unknown!:cursing: Well im off to the Doctors now. Wish me luck......lol

I have the lapband and it is the best thing that i have ever done. But it is not as fast as a weight loss as the bypass. It takes time. But i hear that u have a better chance of having less sagging skin with the lapband.

I used a heating pad. And also walking helps too. Best of luck to u!

When I had the nausea and lightheaded feeling I was told by the nurses to smell a alcohol pad. And it worked! Also I went through the same thing. Cooking for the family and u cant even eat it. I am now 6 weeks post-op and I cook what I eat for everyone. I just use turkey or chicken instead of beef. And so far no one has had any complaints. So it will get better! Hang in there...lol

Lovenox is a blood thinner, also called anticoagulant (an-tye-koe-AG-yoo-lant). Lovenox prevents the formation of blood clots.

Lovenox is used to prevent blood clots that are sometimes called deep vein thrombosis (DVT), which can lead to blood clots in the lungs. A DVT can occur after certain types of surgery, or in people who are bed-ridden due to a prolonged illness. DVT sometimes occurs suddenly for other reasons.

Lovenox is also used to prevent blood vessel complications in people with certain types of angina (chest pain) or heart attacks called non-Q-wave myocardial infarction or ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction.

Lovenox may also be used for other purposes not listed in this medication guide.

I was wondering about the injections too? What r they for? (if that is not too personal of a question) oh...about the bathroom issues it only lasted me a couple of days then i could not even go for 5 days. best of luck to u!

Well it has been 5 weeks and I feel good! Just hungery more often. I dont get my first fill till 3/2/09 and it cant come fast enough!:tt1:

I tried some pure protein bars and they r so good. It is almost like a candy bar:drool:. I also tried some reduced fat peanut butter in my vanilla protein shake and it was really good too. It made me so full. I need to put some in my chocolate shake. It might taste like a peanut butter cup:drool:............WOW

Sorry if I made anyone HUNGERY, but if u have a sweet tooth try it. It worked for me!:thumbup:

gas-x comes in a strip that melts in ur mouth. u can get it anywhere like a pharmacy or wallmart ect.......
