Tomorrow is BAND DAY!

Well in less than 24 hours I will be banded. Nervous yes, excited yes! I feel kind of sad to say goodbye to old me and impatient to get to know the new me. Are my expectations too high? Will it work? Will I be safe tomorrow? Will I be ravenously hungry ? I have never been one to deny myself anything especially food. I am a smoker and have tried to quit several times these past few months and failed, will this be a reflection on my motivation to make the band work for me? Well the first big step is within my grasp, so I am off to pack my bag!! Watch out for the pics to follow.

Very best wishes to you skinnyminney! I had it done on Nov. 24 and it really wasn't too bad at all. Do follow the diet your Dr. gives you, and be patient. This is a tool that will make a huge difference, but you may still have to address some of the head-hunger that we all have.

I just had my 3rd fill yesterday (by the way, the fills don't hurt at all), and I feel like I am there. I couldn't eat an entire healthy choice frozen meal for lunch because I got full! I lost about 24 pounds leading up to this third fill, which I think is about right. Do drink the fluids to avoid constipation.

Good luck, and I'll look for your posts!

One time at band camp......

JK - it is a wonderful thing to do. Be ready for some discomfort. Don't think that you will come out dancing but it is worth every bit. You have to expect some pain post-op so it doesn't take you by surprise. You will do great!
