  1. FANTASTIC!!! And seriously, don't look at it as being teh B-word. Unfortunately, there are those in life who see kindness as weakness and tend to use others. You sound as if you have almost been too nice, if you know what I mean. And there's nothing wrong with that unless you couple it with the inability to say no when it needs to be said. My mother is like that -- but her problem is simply having a hard time saying no. People have used her (though in different ways -- not so much a money issue), but I have watched other people go through it too. It's very hard because they want to not hurt others by saying no or not being there, but in so doing, they get taken advantage of. I'm glad to hear you are going to stand up for yourself! Trust me, those who have taken advantage of you will do all they can to get you back "in line" -- guilt you, be mad at you, punish you -- but you MUST stand firm. It's like retraining wayward children. Ever seen those nanny shows? Enough perseverance and even the brattiest of children WILL stay in that bed all night... after a lot of screaming and crying, of course. :cool2:
  2. No need to be desparate, and it's far from one person's opinion. It's fact for those who choose not to play ostrich. He hit the nail right on the head -- AND it's made doubly sweet that he's not riding the race train.
  3. Hey, with all the anti-conservative sentiments I've heard around here, over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over, it looks like I've got some makin' up to do for all my peeps.
  4. Actually, come Wednesday I'll be more focused on my surgery date. Gotta get it done before Obama comes and takes all my money away, eh? :cool2:
  5. HAHAHA!! Piss you off? :cool2: Well, hey, if everybody walked in lock step with one side, it would get pretty boring now, wouldn't it? Okay, I don't have a strong stance on the arab/terrorist thing. Not TOO strong. If I don't go there, can I keep the socialist thing? PLEASE? He just makes it too easy to not go there.
  6. Interesting... since the most vocal bunch (besides me) are all liberals, it appears the bulk of the attacking is done towards non-conformist libs. :cool2: I don't blame you for not liking the word socialism associated with the messiah, but it is what it is. TO TAKE FROM ONE TO GIVE TO ANOTHER IS SOCIALISM no matter how much you want to rant and rail against it. If not socialism, what do you call it??
  7. Wouldn't put it past her. Probably skins it with her teeth, too, all while breastfeeding. :cool2:
  8. Roops! lol But hey, inspiration is good. That broad can shoot a moose, can't she? Hm... well.... er........ uh...... we could.... ahh....... That broad can shoot a moose, can't she?
  9. I may have it all wrong, but I think she's referring to me. :cool2: I don't have my band yet, so I don't have a lot to talk about it at this point. And I like debating politics. Hell, we only have about 36 hours more. Very soon the damage will be done no matter which way it goes.
  10. FANTASTIC, Jack! And wow, written by a black man, too. Guess he'd better duck and hide.
  11. Don't worry, many here are no doubt repelled by the light. That's why they go into the dark. Guess they've seen the bumper sticker: Come over to the dark side. We've got candy. :cool2:
  12. Interesting. McCain gets al-Qaeda while Obama gets Hamas. And four of the Weatherunderground terrorists. And Raila Odinga. And Rashid Khalidi. Then again (and again, not that I'm pro McCain), I wouldn't put it past a terrorist organization like al-Qaeda to put something like that out there in order to cause consternation in the last days before the election. You know, they don't really support him, but to say they do casts a shadow. Cuz you know how wiley those silly little terrorists are. :cool2:
  13. No, but "spreading the wealth" DOES. Obama's own words. Nothing taken out of context. Guess he should stick to teleprompters telling him what to say, cuz frankly when he's on his own... OOPSIE! :cool2:
  14. I apologize. I thought you were insulting your own intelligence by acting as if this is the first time this has ever happened. No doubt both sides are using it now. I was just showing this is nothing new. Especially from the left.
  15. You have proven yourself incapable of carrying on a dialogue with somebody who doesn't walk in lock step with your fascist views without getting a bad case of the vapors, so you'll understand if I choose instead to loan you a pair of my big girl panties and tell you to move along. I'd rather carry on with your friends who, though we disagree, can actually communicate. Besides, you surprisingly "bore" when you're not getting your way. Wouldn't want to see you get yourself banned again over lil ol' me. :cool2:
  16. May as well. MANY a black church is preaching liberal politics and endorsing liberal candidates from the pulpit, which goes against their 501c3 status.
  17. WOO HOO! COWBOYS! :cool2: *ducks and runs*
  18. No, actually I don't think that Americans are so much brighter than the rest of the world. However, we are still on this side of freer than most of them are. So compared to what many countries have as their societal system, they just may consider Obama a republican. I guess I could ask how in God's name you know that most outside of America consider Obama a republican. I have seen pictures of Arabs and other middle easterners carrying signs saying they are for Obama. Saw one in fact that says Palestinians for Obama. And I am sure the terrorists DO want us out of Iraq. It's harder to keep up with their terrorist activities if we're there.
  19. Try and keep up. I was posting the history, showing that it's nothing new, and it certainly isn't performed only by the right. No, but Barack's OWN WORDS about spreading the wealth IS socialism. Talk about the Kool-Aid drinkers! Omg, y'all really can pick and choose what you want to hear. What a talent. :cool2:
  20. I don't mean this as derogatory to you but instead as a well-used sentiment: If you haven't heard what I've mentioned, then you must live under a rock. I have heard this stuff for YEARS. I even knew which words to Google just so I could find them. I guess it's less about being in the eye of the beholder as it is being able to cherry pick what one hears. Again, you can Google it as I did. Here it is from USAToday, in 2004 (though others ran the story, but I figured if they weren't left-leaning enough, you would cry foul): Kerry raises possibility that draft could return if Bush re-elected WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry, citing the war in Iraq and other trouble spots in the world, raised the possibility Wednesday that a military draft could be reinstated if voters re-elect President Bush. Kerry said he would not bring back the draft and questioned how fairly it was administered in the past. Answering a question about the draft that had been posed at a forum with voters, Kerry said: "If George Bush were to be re-elected, given the way he has gone about this war and given his avoidance of responsibility in North Korea and Iran and other places, is it possible? I can't tell you." Had Clinton not decimiated our military by 1/3, Bush (or any president to follow Clinton) wouldn't have had to do such a thing. Personally I couldn't care less if he's a one-eyed, one-armed, flying purple people eater. He IS a SOCIALIST, and for me, that's all that matters.
  21. It's the victimology of America, Ceradad. If I can be labeled a victim (or if the government can do it for me), maybe I can get me some goodies. :cool2: We have become a country of whiners and complainers, of PC wussies, of greedy losers with their hands out, of people who wouldn't know a hard days' work if it bit them, of people with no shame and no pride, of people who will come out in droves to save a rare mosquito or hug a tree but would never do the same for a person, of people who can't raise decent human beings to save their life, and people who have no idea how responsible they are for their own problems. All I can say is I am glad my grandfathers who fought and died for this country aren't here to see this.
  22. I personally couldn't care less if he's an Arab. What I DO know is that he is a socialist, which is reason enough to make sure he never sees the light of day in the White House. HOWEVER, I can see some people's concern: He has issues with certain tokens of patriotism. Add to that if he's an Arab or even remotely a terrorist sympathizer, that could certainly mean something of substance.
