  1. Well surgery went good today, went in any 11:30, woke at 3:30 got in room at 4:15. Doctor says surgery went very good. I have 7 incisions, been sipping water, and nodding out from pain meds. All in all, not as bad as I thought ? it would have been. Thanks to all the comment and do's and don'ts I've learned, being here on this page ? with the pre experiences from ppl here. I'm literally patient of the day, here on the gastric floor. Wanna thank everyone for the helpful information ℹ️ on the surgery. Now looking to further my education in the next stages of the eating process. The do's the don'ts, the can and can't have, and the how to's.
  2. Well I head in tomorrow morning at 10:00 for my surgery. I'm a lil nervous, just the not knowing, what I'm about to experience. They say ? it's different for everyone. Appreciate all that I've learned from everyone's experiences here on this page. The procedure for me to get here has taken a whole yr and a half. So I'm so ready for this…. (I think !!)
  3. My date is may 2nd…… On my second week of diet as or yesterday. Having the hardest time w/this diet, only cause I'm diabetic and on depression meds, and I have to put something in my System to take them. I have dizziness, fatigue , and tend to be light headed at times. It took me over a year and a half to get to this surgery. Was scheduled for 3/12/24 but had a issue w/kidney. All good now, so don't wanna do anything to get it postponed again. GOOD LUCK ? TO ALL MAY PATIENTS !!!

  5. So my surgery has been rescheduled, I am so glad that this is finally going to happen. Originally was set for March 12th, but had an issue with my kidney, everything is golden, and am now set for surgery on 05/02……started liquid diet process on 18th, I'm having such a hard time with it. I'm a diabetic and get weak light-headed, dizzy. My sugars are fluxuating, and the meal shakes are constipating me. Been reading posts from everyone, and got a lot of good info, so I don't feel so uninformed and alone on the journey.
  6. After 1st surgery being canceled in march. I am back with a new date 05/02…… start my liquid diet on Thursday 18th. Does anyone have suggestion as to what is going to get me through the 2wk liquid diet……. ALL SUGGESTIONS ARE EAGERLY ACCEPTED
  7. I am nervous, and anxious as well. But the support groups are good to be in. You learn from someone's elses experiences. Only no 2 ppl are the same, but its good knowing their outcome, as to know what to possibly expect, but it is great to get all the info that is shared in the groups, you get great step by step shares, and meal advice and all that informative stuff Just know your not going through it alone with the support of ppl who already have been where your headed.
  8. Well I back again. Was previously schedules to have surgery back on March 12th, but 5 days b4 surgery they canceled, cause I had a problem w/my kidney. I have been given the go to have it now. So l will be having my surgery on the 2nd. Are there any others due for may ?? I have still been reading posts and the forums an discussions. I have learned a lot from ppl who have had there's done. I don't feel like I'm alone with this, I've learned, the do's and the don'ts. I wanna thank all those who share here. I have guidance.

  13. Im only on day 2 of liquid diet… sleeve surgery on the 12th of Feb. So this is all new, I read some of the comments, and they say ? it gets a lil more tolerable as the days go by. My thing is how do you develop the strength. When everyday your cooking ?, or someone else is cooking ?. I can't complain, cause they can't stop just cause I chose my path. The shakes are constipating me, and the pain is a b***h sometimes. I can handle the water, but the shakes are causing this to be intolerarable, and its only day 2. Can someone suggest a better shake ?(on the equate shakes from Walmart) Nurse said a lot of patients like them and are affordable, but they're just doing the above that I mentioned. Any suggestions, definately wanna get through this 2wks.
