  3. I am a believer in not depriving myself of food I want. If I want popcorn, I have a little. I have found Skinny Pop or Lesser Evil popcorn will satisfy my desire for buttery, salty popcorn. Also, nuts would be a good idea. I would check and see what your allowed by your surgery center but find healthy alternatives and enjoy yourself. If you make this a diet, will it work in the long run??

  8. I do! I will check that on weigh in day. Thank you.
  9. Good morning, I am 4 months post RNY. I can usually eat about 800-1000 calories a day. My mind and heart are fighting because I know I am not overeating (I also work out almost everyday) but my weight is fluctuating up and down with no real loss for a few weeks. Could I be stalling at 4 months? My head knows the answer but my heart needs confirmation. Thanks!

  11. I did not have the same issue but I did get a stricture. I also had to wait to be scheduled and ended up eating no solid foods from 4weeks-8weeks post op. I hope you feel better ASAP.
  12. Everyday it will get better. You just have to remember this is a journey. I am 4 months out today and I remember the first two weeks were rough.
  13. Hello, I know I work out a lot BUT I am not sure if its enough. Let me clarify by saying I want to work hard my first year. I currently work out 6-7 days a week BUT it looks like this: Monday: 30 minute Personal Trainer - ARMS and then a 2 mile walk home Tuesday: Walk 2 miles home or walking in place for 10k steps Wednesday: 30 minute Personal Trainer - LEGS and then a 2 mile walk home Thursday: Walk 2 miles or walking in place for 10k steps Friday: 2 mile walk home and mild strength training (15 min) Saturday and Sunday: Usually 1 day of a 5 mile walk and the other be a smaller walk/hike. I get about 400-500 minutes of activity on my Apple Watch a week. I am not dripping sweat during all those minutes tho. I am part of three StepBets this month so I get at least 9k steps a day. What would you add? Or am I just being paranoid.
  14. Mine started out just feeling like food was stuck in my throat. Anytime I would eat anything it felt "stuck" and my mucus membranes would go crazy (runny nose, feeling like I was salivating a lot). I could eat 1 bite and feel so uncomfortable. Then it started happening with liquids. I could not drink anything until 3-4 hours after trying to eat. I would vomit continuously if I tried to eat also. I always felt it in my throat tho, not my belly.

  23. Hi, I had RNY on 12/20/22 in Ohio. About a month after surgery, it was discovered I had a stricture. I had two upper endoscopies and was stretched back to 12mm. (They could not measure my stricture at first because they couldn't get the scope in. She guessed it was between 4-5mm). Since I had to wait for an appointment I didn't really eat solid food for a month. I "ate" Liquicel to get my protein in. I am now 4 months out. The stricture is gone and I feel good. Since I missed an entire month of eating and had to start back at pureed foods - do you think that is why my hair is already falling out? Now 4 months out, I eat my protein goals and do fine with water. I am not super concerned about the hair but just wonder if that could be causing it?
