will this be ok
to walk a mile in the morning and walk a mile in the afternoon on the treadmil? two weeks post op just so you know and i was thinking of walking twice a day every other day and i cant think of anything to have for breakfast, cream of wheat hurt my stomach today so i dont want that, eggs eh, i dont know what else to have for mushie stage, yogurt doesnt really fill me up, and i really dont know what to have for lunch either, i had an omlet today and it made me full but i dont want that everyday, any suggestions for breakfast and lunch? thanks

I have a infection
one of my incissions sounds just like yours but its not oozing, its scabbed and its almost time for it to fall off. its red underneath and itchy. i see my doc on wednesday i hope it goes away by then

now i need some encouragement =/
i feel like im going to fail at this, i feel like im never going to get to my goal, and i do know im only 2 weeks post op but shouldn't i have lost a pound or two at least? i feel like ill never exercise enough (im walking and that all im doing so far, i dunno what else i could do that isnt too much *sigh*) i wish i had a lapband buddy to walk and exercise with everyday, my mom was supposed to get the surgery but they told her shes no longer a canidate for the surgery since shes now under the BMI by one her BMI is 34, shes supposed to go walking with me but hasnt and my grandma and dad has ugh but i really wish i had a friend that was going through this, it would make things so much easier and less stressful, so i just need encouragement, can you please give me some exercising ideas please, i think that'll help alot!

I have 5 incissions one has fallen off, my incissions were glued closed I'm only 2 weeks post op but they are healing nicley besides one, the one all the way on the left looks infected and really itchy I don't know what to do for that but I think that's the only one that will be visible and vitamin E oil is really good I think I'll get some later on too.

i have a bad knee and i love the eliptical, i wish i had one of my own. hmm i guess walking twice a day will be good enough, when six weeks get here i want to slowly start running since i never could run too good before since my knee and my ankle but maybe by then itll be better cause ill be lighter. im gonna add in DDR and wii fit, workout DVD's and lightly do weights. that sounds cool, theres a YMCA around here but i dunno how it costs. ah so yeah im gonna play DDR and go for a walk tonight, i hope by wednesday when i go see my surgeron again, i lost some pounds, good luck to you too (:

me too, I'm going to start to weigh my self only in the morning before I eat but after I go to the bathroom

3 meals a day and one snack and 3 protein shakes rest is fluid and have a half cup for the meals, 1,000-1,200 cals or less or what? And walk twice a day or walk once a day and play DDR or the wii, do squats or lunges, and do arm exercises, too much?

no it's just what I need to lose to get to my mini goal and school starts the 8th but I'll be happy if I can lose 10-15 by then, I haven't worked out hard just walked in the morning, I'm going to start walking at night too, I just want to be a success I don't want to fail at this

Exercises for 2 weeks post op
I want some fun exercises that work the whole body, I need to get going it's wicked hot hot high in the 80s and it's going to be like that all week, I went for a walk this morning and it was soo hot and barely any shade, really wish I could go swimming my surgeron said I could but I'll wait, I have DDR and wii fit like I said in other posts but I want actual exercises, what did you guys do? I really need to get going!

yeah the temp has been in the high 80s in new York it's even hard to go for a nice walk with the heat

yeah i was using my core ever since i got surgery, to get up and to lean back and all that and now i can bend over and pick things up and i can get in and out of bed i just dont want to be doing exercises made for the abs

i love the eliptical too! but i dont have one and i dont have a gym membership, but the school has one, i might beable to use it i dont know but it would have to be in the morning first period, then i would be all sweaty owell i guess but what are light exercises? wish i had a gym membership, would be a lot easier, ill do some seventeen magazine exercises, they're fun and ill go for a walk and then play DDR for 30 mins everyday and ill change back and for to the wii fit

i know walking is good, im doing walking thats why i asked about other exercises to put in. i asked my dr he said i could exercise just be careful, like can you give me some exercises that dont involve using your abs? i want to do some with my arms with 2 pound weights and eventually go up to 5 pounds. and i want to do some with my legs but i dunno what. i dont think i could do ab exercises til week 6. i dont see my surgeron til the 19th and i called him alot already during the first week. ill use my resistance band. i just want some arm and leg exercises thanks
