I understand what you are saying...I just think that in her mind she wasn't thinking oh this is the same as getting an abortion anyways...I think she was scared...of what I have no idea. Do I think that makes it okay no...do I think she needs to pay for what she did, yes, but I don't think it has anything to do with how she feels about a life. I don't know. I guess I would like to think that people aren't as cruel as that, but it just seems to me, since she was trying to hide it from her family, that she was scared. Maybe because her family is very religious and they don't believe in sex before marraige, maybe she was disgusted at herself for putting herself in the position to become pregnant...maybe she has some other kind of mentality, who knows maybe she's bipolar or has bad depression problems...I don't know I just don't think she was in her right mind...I am sad for the baby and I am sad for the woman...all around it's just sad. It happens more often then some people would think and a lot of the times we probably don't even know about because it was never seen, they were never caught...

I don't think so...I had an abortion, but if I had an unwanted baby I would not throw it in to the lake or smother it or anything like that. I am not a murderer. I did what I had to/needed to do at the time. If it was a result of something that I did I probably wouldn't have had the abortion...

A lot of women have home births...my husband and his three siblings were born at home...

That is sad. A lot of people don't know about the safe haven drop locations. In my hometown the hospitals and police station have signs saying that it is a safe place...It's sad that all she had to do was hand the baby to one of those places, no questions asked and she would be sitting at home and the baby would be taken care of :thumbup:.

Or the Duggers...yuck I hate those shows...lol. I think there should be a limit on how many kids you can have supported by the state...I'm just glad I don't live in CA anymore. I'm sure the government pays for her schooling too...

Yeah, I have no idea how she managed to pay for it, but not for all of her own kids. It drives me crazy...I just hope that those kids get the health care, love, and time that they need...I feel bad for the kids...I really do!

What's sucks is that my son is disabled for the rest of hie life from things noticed at birth and now my husband makes $200 over what he could make to allow us to get my son SSI. So now we have to make do and struggle from pay check to paycheck. It sucks that we can't get any help because my hubby makes just enough, even though it's not enough for everything we need as a family and that my son needs as an individual. It sucks...

I just wanted to say something about the lady with all the kids. She has now set up a website where people can send her donations or clothes, toys, diapers and of course money. Now the tax payers may be paying for them even more in California. I saw this article about her today... A big share of the financial burden of raising Nadya Suleman's 14 children could fall on the shoulders of California's taxpayers, compounding the public furor in a state already billions of dollars in the red. Even before the 33-year-old single, unemployed mother gave birth to octuplets last month, she had been caring for her six other children with the help of $490 a month in food stamps, plus Social Security disability payments for three of the youngsters. The public aid will almost certainly be increased with the new additions to her family. Also, the hospital where the octuplets are expected to spend seven to 12 weeks has requested reimbursement from Medi-Cal, the state's Medicaid program, for care of the premature babies, according to the Los Angeles Times. The cost has not been disclosed.

I just wanted to say that the woman that had all those kids had them all in vitro. Her mother said that she still had 6-8 fertilized eggs that were frozen so when she went in this last time she had them use them all...She knew she had the chance of having that many...Her mom even said she still wants more children...

I'm not just talking about that one things she said because I understand that some need that, I'm not just talking about that one post...I'm just talking about how she has presented her point this whole thread...anyways, we all have our opinions and our beliefs and I know that this can get to be very heated because of the topic...I just think that you can justify your opinion without always having to push God onto people...that's all.

I understand that religion is part of it but to keep posting "for those who have had abortions, God will forgive you if you admit you regret it or some crap...come on. Every time someone says something pg has to bring god into it and how god looks down upon this and that...the decision I made to have an abortion had nothing to do with my religion...I didn't choose what happened to me...it wasn't my fault and I am not going to ask "god" for forgiveness when I have done nothing wrong!

That's not what I am saying, but if someone repeatedly pushed into your face that God doesn't exists...or kept saying this happened because you believe in God, I think that it would upset you if someone constantly waved a religious belief in your face if it wasn't what you believed. We all have our own beliefs and this is not the place to argue about whos is right...make a religious discussion thread if it means that much for you to talk about it in every sentence...I don't feel like you're trying to get me to listen to what you believe in, I feel like you are trying to push your beliefs forcefully onto everyone else...believe what I believe or else kind of thing.

The topic of God my flair things because believe it or no pg...not everyone belives in God...not everyone shares the same religious beliefs as you do...

I never knew about that, but I don't think when a girl or a women has an abortion she says to herself...heck yeah...deduction!...I'm sorry, but that was never in my mind at all...An abortion is painful physically, but emotionally it is so much worse! I think this thread has come to an end...I think it's time we all say good bye to it because at this point all it is is arguing about who's opinion is right...when really it's up to the individual to decide if they are pro choice or pro life. It is a personal choice and we should not be judge for the choice that we make in the end. Tricare covered the surgery, but NWWLS refused to take Tricare. They said that tricare barely pays out the cost of the band let alone the surgery! I was self-pay, but worth it! I couldn't stomach the idea of having a surgery done at Madigan...lol
