Can an embryo or fetus feel pain? spiked-science | Article | So, can a fetus feel pain? http://www.nytimes.com/2005/08/23/health/23cnd-fetus.html Unborn babies can feel pain during abortion Expert Said Fetuses Do Not Feel Pain None of these sites are pro or anti...they are just doctors and scientists...

Your article is from a prolife website...mine is from niether a pro life nor pro choice site...It was brought up because again you suggested that slavery and abortions are similar...they are not!!! The slaves were already people, people that cry, eat, breath, feel pain, talk, laugh...fetuses are cells that are growing into a person...however they are not yet a full person. Those are two things that cannot be compaired because they are not the same!

Do Fetuses Feel Pain During An Abortion? It's not the fact that they don't feel pain that makes it okay...it's the fact that it is not the governments place to tell us what to do with our bodies! Period. Your articles are incorrect. The pain receptors haven't even formed by 8 weeks.

I have read many articles where it states that the fetus does not feel any pain during an abortion. Some state that the may start registering pain around 25 weeks and if an abortion is done after 20 weeks a lot of the doctors performing them will offer the woman the choice to give the fetus anesthesia. Since most abortions are done suring the first trimester then pain isn't a problem...When I was pregnant with my son everytime they did an ultrasound my son moved as far away from the ultrasound device as possible.

compairing and abortion to slavery is ridiculous! The fetus is not suffering. It is not being beaten...it isn't being mistreated...it is NOT the same...not even close!!!

In her eyes it may not be. By child I meant a living, breathing, able to be held in your arms child...

It wasn't just "blacks" that were slaves. Regardless of whether there is life within the womb or not shouldn't be the problem...it should be the womans choice whether she wants that life to grow into her child or not...not the government.

I didn't say that your articles were based on religion. I was refering to something Patty said.

If that was the case and all science proved that then it would be considered murder by law and would be made illegal...which is not the case

the prolifers may have nothing to lose but what if abortions are made illegal then the women that get pregnant will have a lot to lose because of your beliefs. I didn't say that I share all the beliefs discussed in those articles...did I?

When I typed "Life Begins at Conception" into google I got 559,000 results...however, when I typed "Life doesn't Begin at Conception" I get 6,150,000 results. Inconsistancy in the “life begins at conception” argument God's Conception Magic Act Anyways...I just found the first one interesting and I really enjoyed the second one lol. You cannot force everyone to believe in your own religious mumbo jumbo...Not everyon shares your beliefs...not everyone is religious at all.

Misscaraige with Lap Band
Thank you so much. My husband is in the Army so I am pretty far from my family. Though I talk to my mom and dad several times a day on the phone. They wouldn't even allow my husband time off so I had to take myself and my son to the ER when I was losing the baby. I wasn't very far along, but I already loved my baby...already talked to my tummy and already dreamed of the face I would see in 9 months. My heart aches for a baby that I never even got to see, feel or even hear...not even a heartbeat.

So then the prolifers should be called antiabortion and not pro life because prolife could refer to anything that is living...

I'm pretty sure it wasn't an open adoption...otherwise she would know the location of the child she adopted out...it is no longer her child...she gave up that right when she gave up the child.

just because someone thinks that a woman should have the right to do what she thinks is best for her...doesn't mean that they are supportive/for abortion...it should just be an option...it's not like were sitting around pregnant women and saying abort that baby! It's the only way!!!! DO IT!!!

would it really be fair for her child that she gave up to be hunted down...she gave the child up and if the child wants to find her than that should be the childs right...

If you continue to call pro choice people pro abortion or anti life then don't complain when pro choicers call you all antichoice.....

I never said that you said it was 100%. A lot of women that are raped don't immediately report the rape either.

right before my friend had her abortion they listened to the heartbeat and they handed her a picture of the fetus before aborting. So...you don't think people may say they were raped and create a paper trail? It is possible. A lot of people would disagree that they'll take it...even when there will still be abortions. Most pro lifers I know want it 100% illegal...just a thought.

Curiosity Questions
As soon as I am comfortably into a smaller size my bigger clothes get sold or donated. I find that if I don't have them I try harder to stay in the smaller size since I have nothing to fall back into. As for the spouse. I love my husband and he is heavy. It is his choice to lose weight, but I am always here to support him. I don't push him or try to make him feel bad because I know how it feels because that's what people would do to me...good luck!

Misscaraige with Lap Band
Hello. On May 6th I found out that I was pregnant. (We had been trying). May 13th I lost the baby. I know that it's not the fault of the band...I have been having trouble not turning to food in this time of Grief. That would have been what I would have done without the band. All I want to do is eat...eat and eat and eat until it doesn't hurt anymore, but I know I can't. Has anyone else misscarried after having the lap band? How did you cope? What helped you. By the way I am 22 and they told me after I had my son that I may not be able to get pregnant again and that if I did I would most likely misscarry or be high risk. My heart is broken...I am tired of hearing; you're young, you can try again...I don't want to try again...I want my baby...this baby! Anyways, Thank you for reading...

Yeah how would they tell if the person was actually raped and what not? Who would determine who was lying and who was being honest...?
