Misscaraige with Lap Band
Thank you all so much. The hospital brought in a social worker/Grief Counselor. She basically said; "You are so young. You and your husband can try for another baby. The egg was probably deformed so your body did what it had to do. At least you already have a child...some women aren't even that lucky. At least it happened early on and not later in pregnancy." It was like everything horrible that someone could say. It was like are you here to make me feel better? Geeze. Thank you for the prayers. I cry a lot...barely ever around my son. I know that he needs his mommy 100% and I try my best to give that to him. He's special needs/disabled so it was really tough to even think about trying again. I had pre-eclampsia when I was pregnant with him. I had him 2 months early and he was very sick. They gave him an hour to live. (He just turned 2 in March). He was in the NICU for 4 1/2 months and in the PICU for 2 months. He's had 2 surgeries. I was so so scared to try for another baby. My husband and I always wanted a large family (I come from a family with 8 older brothers, my husband 3 siblings). Being so scared we finally decided that 2 years was enough time and we were ready. We found out I was pregnant and we were so very excited, but scared...I knew that this was a possibility, but I just hoped that it wouldn't happen to me. It was like pouring salt on the wounds that were left from my son...it hurts so much. Thank you all again for all of you support, stories, and prayers.

The heart starts beating at 6 weeks...so the fetus would be 4 weeks old

yes I understand...I just always go by that same dating...so then most women find out they are pregnant when the baby is only 2-4 weeks old...so when prolifers say heartbeat starts at 6 weeks (or whatever it is) do they mean the pregnancy is 8 weeks along or the actual fetus is 8 weeks old (which will mean 10 weeks pregnant)?

all of the web sites that I went to for my pregnancy calendar used the same age...?
-
who supports right to choose
If life starts at conception then the age would be the same...? Yes when I say 5 weeks I guees it means 3 weeks to you which I don't quite understand...

Gestational...the age that most sites use when showing the growth of the fetus and the progress of the pregnancy.

At five weeks the baby is the size of a sesame seed. at 6 weeks the size of a lentil (About 1/4 inch). 7 weeks around the size of a blueberry...

By the fourth week of pregnancy your developing baby is about 1mm in length By the fifth week your baby is about 1.5 - 2.5 mm or 0.05 - 0.09 inches in length. Photo Gallery | BabyCenter Check out this slideshow for more...trust me as soon as I found out I was pregnant I was looking at every chart out there...my baby was about the size of a sesame seed when I lost it.

A lot of misscarraiges require d and cs so they aren't just for abortions...

I'm just saying that they are small...and I know they aren't actually tails...I'm not stupid. I'm not going to look at the pictures, only because at this time I am still crying when I see pregnant women lol...By the end of the 1st trimester the fetus is around 2-3 inches long...a lot of women have their abortions around 5-8 weeks when the fetus is less then or about 1 to 2 inches...at the 5th week the fetus is only about the size of a poppy seed.

if dismemberment was needed in the 1st trimester than how do women miscarry without pieces being chopped off?
-
who supports right to choose
The fetus during the 1st trimester is generally pretty small...what would there be to dismember...the little feet nubs?...or maybe the tail?

a 13 year olds body and mind is not ready for being pregnant or having a baby! It's not just about being teased!
-
who supports right to choose
I didn't say I agreed with the person who said that...it was just an example! Not all abortions are dismemberments...you are talking about later term abortions and abortions performed in the 2nd tri as I said before most abortions occur in the 1st tri.

tell that to a 13 year old that goes to school pregnant and gets called a whore and made fun of...tell that to the child that's daddy and grandpa are the same person...
-
who supports right to choose
If that is the case then you would still hear their muffled screams...just like if you were to scream under water...
-
who supports right to choose
but in it he said that the fetus may physically recognize pain, but that their mind doesn't process it as pain...I'm not saying I believe in everything he said...or that I believe in all the articles...but that most of the articles that are posted by people that are neither pro or anti they say the pain doesn't start until around the 20th month!
-
who supports right to choose
No he said the body feels it around 26 weeks, but the mind doesn't feel it until after birth. You know how bad that thought must make women who have had misscarriages feel...So is the baby in pain when your "God" is aborting it?
-
who supports right to choose
Yeah...and lobsters "scream" when you throw them in boiling water, but I bet you enjoy eatin it! The woman screams as she's being raped...as she's dying from giving birth...as she cries to her therapists because her daddy got her pregnant...as the 13 year old cries because he said he loved her...and then he left...Those are later term abortions...most of the abortions are done during the 1st trimester...a lot right after finding out (6-8 weeks).

You have no idea what you would do because you are not in that position. I had friends that were very very pro life and she got pregnant because they weren't being careful and they ran out and got an abortion because they weren't ready for children. You hate all religions, but Christianity? I do not share your beliefs as well as a lot of oter people don't so why should we be forced to follow your "God's" bible as the word we should live by!?

Did you read the whole thing because this is what it said in the conclusion: "...recent studies have shown that the fetus most certainly does feel pain by the end the second trimester, when late-term and partial birth abortions are performed."

A fetus is not yet a person! It is a fetus! Comparing it to slavery is just ridiculous...they are not a like...period. What happened to slaves was torture...long drawn out torture...that is not the case in an abortion.
