  1. Happy 46th Birthday Texasgirl1966!

  2. 3 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 3rd Anniversary Texasgirl1966!

  3. I have problems with bread products. Tortilla's are not my friend. I also love the bread basket that comes around when I eat out. But, I have to be very careful, eat tiny bites and eat slow in order to not be sick. Steak and roast don't usually sit well with me. I get the intense pain in my chest and back that makes me want to pass out. Most times I get sick - I should learn by now the foods that are a problem and avoid them at all cost. I've tried donuts and they are not worth it in my book, I just avoid them. I still love the foods I love, I'm hard headed I guess.
  4. Hey! I was reading that you got the single incision surgery. That's awesome. Congrats! Would you mind posting pics of your incisions? I'm very curious because it's so new I can't find many "real life" views of it.

dating and a new sex partner! well maybe

With anything new, it will be different. Don't expect it to be like being with your ex and just enjoy the experience and have fun.

    Sex

For me we waited about 9 days after surgery. We did it standing up in the shower. I got him all worked up and then we did a modified doggy style, and it didn't cause me any pain . The next time we were lying down at less than 2 weeks and I had a BIG O and that was painful. I was sore for a while afterwords. Everyone is different, but the main thing is to take it easy the first few times and give yourself time to heal.

    constipation since band

I am so glad to find this thread. I had my lap band surgery on November 18th, and immediately had the runs, now that problem is fixed I continue to be constipated. I was just about to the point of calling the Dr's office if I couldn't find some info about fixing this problem. Thanks for all your help, I'm going to try the miralax, colace or MOM this evening.
  8. How are things going for you since surgery? I am doing well, I went for my 2 week follow up appointment today and everything looks good. Begin mushy foods today too. Keep me posted on your progress.

  9. How's it going? Just thought I would check in and see how you are doing? I am doing well, sometimes I am a little sore on my left side but getting around good. I went for my 2 week check up today and changed to the "mushy" food stage. Hope everything is going well for you.

    ~november bandsters~

I am 3 days post surgery and am doing pretty well. My stomach is sore and I have gas but it is tolerable. Rest when you can and walk, walk, walk and it does help. I am still getting help getting in and out of the bed but otherwise I am getting around pretty well. Each day is a little better. As far as being hungry - no, I am not. I have to take in 50 grams of protein a day and all the liquids I can handle and that's hard to do, I just don't have an appitite. Good luck on your surgery.
  11. I just got home from the hospital . I had surgery on Tuesday morning. The surgeon discovered a hiatial hernia during surgery that I didn't know I had and had to repair it also. So surgery took longer than expected. I'm doing good but real sore. The worst part of the entire experience was having the upper GI procedure to check for leaks in the hernia repair and to make sure the band was working, it tasted so bad and I was so close to getting sick, I survived the 1 and 1/2 hour drive and so glad to be home. Good luck to everyone else who was recently banded.
  12. 7am tomorrow (Nov. 18th) I will be in surgery for my band:smile2:. I agree I am excited, anxious and a little nervous. Good luck to everyone else getting banded this week!
  13. I am down 10 + lbs and my surgery is tomorrow! 21 hours and counting. I am excited and nervous. Good luck to all the other November bandsters.
  14. Yes! Lets keep in touch! I will try and send you a message on Tues. if I feel up to it. I may not be until Wed. Good Luck. You will be in my thoughts.
