I hate it when people post just to post.....
Susan, you shouldn't feel ashamed or embarrassed. You are human. You are NOT a failure. You really sound like you are dealing with some possible depression issues. That can really affect everything. Maybe you can make an appointment to talk to someone? Also, schedule yourself for a small fill. Maybe that way you can work to getting your eating in check. I know that I haven't been banded long enough to really offer much advice, but we are here to listen and encourage any time. I hope that you are able to work this out soon. I hate for you to feel bad at all.

A very STUPID Question!!
It is like a mini vomit. You heave like you are vomiting, but it doesn't have that nasty taste. Also, once the food that was stuck comes up, you stop. It is still really gross.

Where did I go wrong? (HELP ME!)
What everyone else has said.:wink2: You can do this. You have been doing this. Just pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start over. We are all behind you!

No problem at all.

Odd Side Effects?
It has something to do with the weight loss. I was told that eventually our bodies will adjust, but until then we will be colder than usual.

A very STUPID Question!!
PB is productive burp. It's not quite vomiting since there is no stomach acid. It is VERY similar though. It is food that has not made it through the pouch. It usually happens when you either a) eat too fast, :cursing: eat too much, or c) take too big of a bite (first bite syndrome). It isn't exactly pleasant so you want to avoid it if you can.

I am just a wimp. I don't get sick. I just get terrified of any ride that involves height. I am scared of heights, yet I have to climb a ladder for work.:cursing:

D & c?
My periods were worse after I had a d&c. I finally had a thermal ablation about 6 years ago. It worked until I had my tubes tied. Now they are back to the same as they were. I was told by the doctor that being under 35 at the time of the procedure could mean I would need another one. I think it is time. I hope that whatever you decide to do helps.

Had 3 fills but struggling!
That is great. I can only hope that I can crack this thing soon myself. I don't have good restriction yet, so I am not worrying too much, yet. Keep up the good work.

I know, it is gross. I couldn't believe it though! I have been trying to come to terms with the gray hair at my temples, but this is too...old man gross!

Messy subject
You really want to check with your doctor. I know that my doctor had me on nothing but clear liquids the day before surgery and nothing to eat or drink after midnight. I would think that is what your doctor will want, but it is best to check with him/her to be sure. Good luck!

How much is too much?
Actually, my doctor's office said that if it took 10 cups of sf jello to feel satisfied, to have that. That was even on my post op diet. Obviously every doctor's office is different. I wouldn't see it as a problem, but check with your doctor. You doctor may have a different feeling about it.

PJTP-I really hate my internal clock sometimes. I am wide awake, but don't have to be at work until 8. I am going to be so tired when I get there.

I was like Beth, once I hit fuller liquids and mushies, I stopped up. Badly. Make sure you have something at home to help with that. It is so uncomfortable.

It didn't end until I was out of the liquid stages. Liquid in, liquid out.

It's because they ARE crappy. Come on, these people live in the same city that I do and haven't called their grandson since maybe April. Why on earth would calling become the thing to do now? You didn't step on my toes, but you do understand that dialogue thing. He isn't going to say a thing. No matter how much I complain. He didn't say anything to them when he talked to them last night. He didn't even tell me until well after he had talked to them that they had even bothered to call him.

How did everyone do at Thanksgiving?
I did a lot better than I have ever done in previous years. I ate maybe 1/4 of what I would normally eat in one sitting. I still ate more than I thought I should be able to eat. I was not able to eat the turkey later in the day (it was too dry). I am working to get back on track for today.

So far, the only thing I have accomplished is online shopping.
