Yep here it is a clear day in Idaho(Ha) and still on the preop diet.:nervous The good thing is that I still am here, I would kill for food but I know that this is a signal from my brain to my empty tummy saying eat. This I will not do until I am on the after diet. So tummy hang in there:rolleyes: the never ending journey is still under wat:biggrin1: and we will win:scared:
  2. It all sounds grt, I know the preop diet is yuk, but look at the other side of the coin, I dont want this anymore. Can hardly wait to get this done on the 17th because it is one more tool to help with the weight issue I have had all my life. And diets are just that Die.............ts. I also am still on the preop diet and doing alot better than I thought I would. I have been two weeks now and have not fuged once............and for me this is a miracle. Just got home from the gym and only thin on the tube is food shows.............this makes it hard but if I weather these then with the help of you all I know that I to am making the right decision I am self pay. Everyone have a grt day today
  3. This is your decision, I am preop and have a date set for april 17, I was ready to have GB but some of my very close friends had this and after complications they passed away. I am not saying this happens to everybody but I to am one of those who did not want to have those type of issues. Again only you can make the choice I am glad I choose to wait for the band
  4. I am self pay, and I aggree with Angelu. Let the insurance pay for this and use your money for other issues. You could even help any of your friends who need the band and can not afford it. I was give this gift from a christian friend who payed for my entire procedure and all the docs I needed to see/20,000. This is a gift of life think about it..........
  5. good luck canada, I to have a date set for April 17th. I have now been on my preop diet for seven days. Its going very good. I live in Idaho
  6. hey, sounds like all are still doing grt, here it is 6 days into the pre-op diet and all is going great, find that the preop diet is pretty good, I know that this sounds horrible but it does. I find that it feels me up and I dont have a lot of hunger pains like I really thought I would. May be its the the excitement about getting my band on the 17th

  20. hey I know what you mean, I am currently on my pre-op diet, my date is the 17th april. Here is what I have Breakfast-------------8oz Protein shake Lunch------carrotts,celery, one slimfast Dinner-----all the vegis I want(usally steamed) one slimfast also at least 64oz of Water per day. This is day three for me have been doing really good so far but I know its going to get reall tough by the surgery date, already miss the steak but this is what I need to be on this planet longer.
  21. yes they still make them the boxes are square now, and they come in flavors still.I am pre-op also. My diet consits of the following Breakfast--------1 8oz Protein shake Lunch------------5 stalks of celery, 10 mini bite size carrotts, 1 can slimfast Dinner------------steamed veggies, doc said I could have all I wanted, and also 90oz of Water during the day. I have just found another source of intake, slimfast cappachino flavor with ice makes a grt smoothie, you get both the water from the ice and the flavor of the cappachinno
  22. OK slap slap, now stay on track the reward is at the end of the rainbow
  23. I have cigna and am pre-op they have denied me because of a writer my company has saying that weight surgery is cosmetic, and no matter what the doc writes they will not give. I contacted an attorney and he told them that when I die from the weight then my estate will sue for wrongful death. that still did not work, I am self pay and am set to be banded on the 17 april.
  24. hang in there follow your diet and workout routine, dont, dont dont dont eat the bread
