Weirdest None-Scale-Victory - I'll go first
That's huge! The ability to get out of bed and not strain is a great feeling.

Weirdest None-Scale-Victory - I'll go first
Today, i was chatting with a coworker about the weekend and i realized that i had walked up the two flights of stairs without getting winded. I never took the stairs at work, always the elevator before.

Food Before and After Photos
I am loving these egg life everything but the bagel egg wraps. I made an egg sandwich with a little cheese, one egg, some hot sauce and an egg wrap for breakfast and it was delicious. I had to make one for my husband (i added bacon to his and doubled the egg).

Robotic?
Mine was done via DaVinci Robot and i had minimal pain after surgery and really easy recovery. No stitches or staples outside, just some glue that fell off after a month. I didn’t need pain medication and i was able to return to work three days after.

Thing I miss most
The only thing i miss is sparkling water like the AHA! Flavors, San Pellegrino, La Croix etc. And ice cold from the can coca-cola.

Calories per day
Heading into 5 weeks out from surgery and my calories are anywhwere from 480-700 per day. I focus more on getting 70-80 grams of protein per day and meeting my water goals.

Tips for pre-op diet?
Find a protein shake or drink you really like. That makes things a lot easier. I found drinking water in between sips of the protein shake made me less nauseaous. Plan for light activity those first three days. I was moody, grumpy, tired, and achy.

Post Surgery Dreams
I'm one month and a few days out from surgery. 1) Get back to distance running. I used to run half marathons in my early 30's. 2) Go kayaking and fit comfortably in a kayak. 3) Try Stand Up Paddleboarding. There is this place that offers lessons every year where we go to vacation and I've always been too heavy for it 4) Fit comfortably in a restaurant booth 5) Fit on an amusement park rollercoaster and swing ride 6) Fit comfortably in a sporting event seat. I've missed so many football, baseball, and basketball games because I couldnt sit comfortably and it feels like a waste when you have season tickets 7) Cut my psych meds down

Second Month Stall?
So this kicks off month two post sleeve surgery and my weight loss has slowed down some. I had the three week stall; had a little movement last week and then nothing again. I havent changed much; the only thing I've added is veggies (zucchini, tomato, and mushrooms have been added back). PRotein is still the same, exercise is still the same or higher since now I can swim. I'm sure hormones are just f'ing with me, but is this common?

Caffeine/ coffee
My coffee intake is still pretty small. I can sip coffee over the course of two hours, in between sips of water.
-
Caffeine/ coffee
I just added caffiene-3 weeks out from surgery. I mixed black iced coffee with a 1/2 of a vanilla Premier Protein shake and it was delicious. Felt like an iced latte.

Weirdest None-Scale-Victory - I'll go first
I painted my toenails by myself. Meaning, for the first time in YEARS, i could bend over and reach my feet to paint my toenails.

Day before surgery
Yes, i had to take off my nail and toe nail polish before surgery yet my nose ring was able to stay in. ??♀️

Food Before and After Photos
Bariatric Mexican Pizza CRUST 1 package ground chicken 1/3 envelope of taco seasoning 1 egg 1/4 cup fat free shredded cheese Mix everything for the crust together and air fry at 450 degrees for ten minutes. Spray the pan liberally so it doesn’t stick. Toppings: 1/2 cup taco sauce 1/2 cup refried beans 1/2 cup fat free shredded cheese 4 pickled jalapeño slices, minced Once crust is finished cooking, add toppings. Put back in the air fryer at 450 degrees for five minutes. Once out of the air fryer, let sit for five minutes. Slice into 3 ounce portions. Top with a little fat free Greek yogurt and avocado of you would like. My husband LOVED this. I’m still on soft foods and this really satisfied the Taco Bell craving.

Recreational drugs post surgery be honest -.-
I have a medical marijuana card (put down your pitchforks people, i have two qualifying medical conditions), but i haven’t used since the pre-op diet to help offset the nausea i experienced. I haven’t use post operatively since i haven’t experienced a flare up of either condition. Unfortunately, you aren’t going to meet any supportive people on this site as far as recreational or medical drug use. You’ll get a lot of lectures and pearl clutching instead.

Will US insurance coverage Mexico surgery?
No. Insurance plans in the US do not cover medical procedures outside the United States unless it’s an emergency procedure.

Blah...my first stall...
I just hit my third week stall and I’m kinda meh about it. Thanks to this thread, i am taking the zen approach that it will happen (stalls) and i just need to channel my energy into something else (walking, getting outside to work on my garden, playing with my dog) instead of obsessing. I used to obsess all the time when i did weight watchers and the stupid scale wouldn’t move. I’m just grateful i was able to have the surgery and take a new approach to life. Plus the warmth and sunshine has come to Connecticut and I’m enjoying it!

Gas air or full?
It’s the leftover gas from the surgery. Use a heating pad to soothe it and definitely walk around to break up the gas. I also liked a gentle self massage on my stomach, that helped me a lot.

Caffeine After Surgery
I’m juuuuust about 3 weeks out and as a die hard New Englander, i drink iced coffee year round. I haven’t had any caffeine in over a month. I cut it out during the pre op diet. When did everyone start adding coffee back in? I’m a milk only person with my iced coffee so no, I’m not missing the sugar, just my delicious iced coffee on warm sunny days.

Anyone's Surgeon Use: Enhanced Recovery after Bariatric Surgery (ERAS Bariatric)?

Best Vegetables To Start Eating
I HATE CELERY!!! Celery and green bell peppers are the only two vegetables I will not eat. The celery strings are called butt floss in my household. ANd for all that crunch, I expect a little bit of flavor besides water. And green bell peppers are what bitterness tastes like. I would love to have romaine lettuce for sandwich/taco type things but I'm not pushing it.

Food Before and After Photos
My husband is from NYC and made chopped cheese for his lunch and made a special one for me: 1/3 cup ground turkey seasoned with salt, zatar seasoning, and hot sauce all cooked until done and chopped into pieces in the pan 2 TBSP non fat greek yogurt 2 teaspoons of sugar free ketchup He knows I love pickles and went the extra mile and grated in a half sour pickle spear for me. It was delicious and filling and just everything I wanted for lunch on the soft meat stage.
