  1. Hey October Surgery friends...how are you doing? I've lost 15 lbs since surgery on 18th.42 lbs overall. Wearing clothes that feel great. Had a bout of cold and stomach flu and still having some nausea off and on after that but getting better, I think.

Seems like I fill up and have minor pain quicker when I eat hot foods rather than cold. Anyone else notice this?

Still sooo glad I did this.

I had surgery Oct 29. Lost 35#. Plateau now. But seeing what clothes fit now is encouraging.

My surgery was 10/19. #40 down since surgeon pre op visit. Getting close to end of soft foods. I think only issue going to regular foods is portion size. So far trying a new food every day. With no issues.

I had surgery Oct 19 and down 40# in 8 weeks. I was on Noom 2 years before and lost #30. Maintained 1 year before surgery. Stalled now but excited that every clothing item is surprisingly loose, and notice my thighs are smaller. They don't rub. Starting too see my knee knows.

    Social eating after gastric sleeve

Thanks to all of you for your helpful descriptions! I feel better about trying to picture how life will be after. I am almost a month away from surgery. I've been pretty positive and sure about my decision but still have short periods where I freak out. And think, what am I doing?? Your posts helped me today.

    May 2022 surgery?

Saw Doc yesterday and guess I have to do 1 more visit and will schedule for end of June or first of July. I guess I don't have to do week of liquids pre surgery. We'll talk about post surgery plan on next visit on May 31. I'm still really nervous but not wavering back and forth on decision like I was. Really nervous about telling my only son. I don't think he will be in favor of this at all. ( I should be able to just eat less and stick to it and not risk surgery.) Course I'm imagining that response. Thanks for this forum. Any suggestions welcome. Still need to hear success stories from folks my age.

    May 2022 surgery?

Hello, I see Dr. tomorrow but think I'm ready to schedule my surgery for early June. 😅. I am 68 and have yo-yo dieted and gained and lost since I was 14. I am sooo ready to be off of this roller coaster but I need encouragement that this is the right decision! Also, can anyone give me an idea of meal plans first month after surgery?
