  1. Good Luck! I had my surgery on Saturday and I am back at work like nothing ever happend. The first 24 hours are a little rough due to the anaesthesia side effects but once that wears off you will be absolutely fine. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
  2. I am a little nervous but also excited. I am being banded at 8 am. I will post after and let everyone know how it goes.
  3. Sept 5th! Thanks for tracking!!!!!!
  4. I have decided not to tell everyone. As of now, 2 friends know that I am having the surgery. I have tried so many diets and I always fail. This is such a personal decision I don't want to hear anything negative. I have about 65 lbs to lose and most people would say "just eat less and exercise more". Well, I do exercise and I do watch what I eat. If I didn't my weight would be triple of what it is today. There is a history of obesity in my family and I have witnessed all the problems that go hand-and-hand with being over weight. I do not want to live that life. I want to be healthy and live a long life. I am SO greatful that I found this board and hearing about everyone's experience. surgery date 9/5 (can't wait)
  5. Hello All, My surgery date is Friday, September 5th and I am planning on going back to work on September 9th. I am super excited and reading all the post I am feeling more confident that I am making the right decision. I am looking forward to going on this journey with all of you! p.s. can anyone tell me how you post the weight loss ticker?
  6. I had my consultation last week with Dr. Paya in Glendale, CA. I got the financing in order I just now have to schedule my appointment. Before I shell out $16,000 I was hoping some of you could share your experience and maybe answer some questions. 1. I am not going to tell anyone that I work with and limit who I tell outside of the workplace. Is this possible? How much can you actually eat if you are out to lunch or at a dinner event? Can I drink a glass of wine? 2. Has anyone had this procedure done with a low BMI? If so, what is the typical weekly weight loss? 3. Has anyone used Dr. Paya? If so, how has your experience been? THANKS!!
