    March 2022 Surgery Buddies

I just had a gastric sleeve surgery two weeks ago. I am doing well. Of course, I am still on full liquids. I have had no problems but have had some diarrhea. I don’t know if this is normal at first. I sort of thought it might be. I hope things get better for you. Blessings.

    March 2022 Surgery Buddies

My date for surgery is March 2. I am beginning to get a little nervous but like you I am excited to get healthy. I have done good on the Optifast. I would appreciate your prayers. Be blessed!
  3. I visited the sleep center today and was given results by the NP. I have had three previous studies. The first one I only slept 16 minutes out of eight hours. The second study was better but I could not tolerate C -PAP so they stopped that study and had me come back in for Bi-PAP. I sure do hope this does not set my surgery date back. Has anyone had any experience with this? Thank you and be blessed.

This is so true. My surgery date is 3/2/22 and it has been a long journey getting here. I have all of these feelings as our weight loss may change relationships. I have been in much prayer that all will go well. Be blessed.

New Here *2 years out of VSG*

I have been to several informational meetings and they told us to eat three meals a day and drink 64 ounces of water daily. We were told to eat 4 ounces every meal to include 2 ounces of protein, one ounce of vegetables, and one ounce of starch. Always eat protein first. Should consume 60 to 80 grams of protein daily. We were also told that we may hit a plateau around 9 to 12 months and that we should increase our exercise. My surgery date is scheduled for 3/2/22 and I am excited and anxious. God bless.

  10. I have enjoyed everyone’s post and all have been very helpful. I especially wanted to hear from someone several years post surgery and this post was most helpful. My surgery is scheduled for March 2. I am having gastric sleeve unless surgeon has other advice. Thanks for your post and God bless!
  11. I am having gastric sleeve surgery on March 2. I currently weigh 316 and have had health problems due to my weight. I am looking forward to being healthy. How much can I expect to loose if I follow the program? I realize that everyone is different.

Hi Diann, They say you will loose 60 -70% of your excess body weight. There are plenty of people on here who are legends and gone the extra mile and lost all their extra weight and weigh 'normal'. Good luck
