I am going in this morning for the sleeve. I was good up till this past Monday and Wed where I always in complete freak out Mode. I talked to a couple of people who have had the surgery and that put my mind at ease. I have been good and confident the rest of the week. Remember you are choosing this surgery to take control back. To get Healthier for a long life ahead of you. Try to wrap your head around that and you will be in better head space. You just have to get through the pre diet which I breezed through losing 15lbs and the first few weeks. My people say it gets much better and it’s a decision you will not regret especially after you see your numbers go down. Good luck to you

I had my surgery on Valentine's Day [emoji3590]
I'm officially at 270 as of this morning. I was at 309 when I went in for surgery. I want this damn weight to come off faster but I guess slow and steady wins the race. Its still funny to me being the fat person that doesn't eat anything. Obviously people who know I had surgery don't judge me about that but going to events and stuff with people I'm not familiar with and eating a couple bites of food while weighing 270 lbs is a funny image [emoji1787]

Dcsjoc got a reaction from Vivis in All liquid pre-op diet causing diarrhea?
I had the same issues pre op with the liquid diets. I am now post op 3 months and still haven’t had a solid 💩. I still get the same noises in my stomach and go 2-3 times 1 day and might not go for 1 or 2 days after that. I work out of a truck and bathrooms aren’t always down the hall for me😡

Dcsjoc got a reaction from Wildflower Bohême in Sleep Apnea
I had severe sleep apnea prior to surgery. Only got my cpap machine 1 year prior even though I tested 15 years ago. 3-5 hours broken sleep 3 pee breaks a night before the machine. 4-6 solid sleep after the machine. Now 3 months post surgery I haven’t used my cpap and getting 5-7 hrs of rem sleep with no pee breaks in middle of night. Still have to go see my sleep apnea Dr. But I’m done with the machine!!!

Here are just a couple of the silly things that have made me smile the last couple weeks:
    1. I can buy cute underwear that are not made out of white flour sack material.
    2. I can put on my socks in the morning with out making strange sounds and grunting.
    3. When getting dressed to go somewhere the first thing out of my mouth is NOT "does this make me look fat!"

Being able to help my husband build our new fence. I wouldn’t have been able to help much a year ago. Not sure if this is really a good thing 🙄😂

I also love being able to fold into smaller spaces.

Today I had an unexpected and surprisingly satisfying NSV. I noticed that my belly button shrank. It's about 50% shallower than it used to be! Who knew I would be so pleased about less depth to my belly button? 😆

Dcsjoc got a reaction from summerseeker in I’m in the ER
So first day back to work after 6 weeks off from the sleeve surgery and maybe 1/2 way through my tour I had to drive myself to the ER. Had excruciating pain on left side of my lower back to me lower stomach. I haven’t had 1 issue in last 6 weeks and I have been working out and walking 6 days a week. I even told the Surgeon on Thursday that I felt 2 more weeks would have better for me to return to work since I just started eating real solids. Anyway waiting on a few tests but everyone thinks it could be a kidney stone. So I have that going for me!!!! I’ll keep you posted!!!

Well the timing sure sucks but if it is kidney stones at least that is something fairly easy to treat and it’s not something that will require another surgery. Hang in there.

Yeah it sounds like it could be a kidney stone. Been there, done that. As bad as kidney stones are, I guess it's a good thing it's not a complication with your sleeve. I hope you feel better soon!
