Potatoes 5 weeks out
Thanks everyone. On the rare occasions I eat out I have really wanted to try a french fry or bite of mashed off my husbands plate but theyre excluded from my docs allowables, even at this stage. Just curious how it worked for others who arent on as strict a regimen.

Anyone else struggling with panic post-op?
I think being done with menopause already helped me get my emotions under control pretty quickly. Just a theory. Who knows.

Anyone else struggling with panic post-op?
I am now 4 weeks post-op and my anxiety is MUCH better. I knew from prior surgeries that surgery sets off my panic and it certainly did with this. But I am employing the strategies I learned in pre-op therapy and that helps. Overall, I just needed to heal, feel better, and get back to everyday life to be ok.

Anyone else struggling with panic post-op?
My heart racing is not unusual for me in the throes of panic and Im getting all necessary liquids and then some. I do have a minor heart condition AND vasovagal that exacerbate this and I took a heart pill but it didnt help...probably because the culprit was anxiety. Its such a vicious circle. My anxiety was under better control pre-op than it had been my entire life.

I only got tylenol and ultram and zero issue keeping them down. I didnt use either beyond day 2.

Post op day 4 vomiting
I have not thrown up since that one bout Friday. I feel it was brought on by eating jello too fast. I havent had jello since because it doesnt seem appetizing now, of course. Im a little better every day. REALLY looking forward to the pureed/soft phase.

Other Protein Alternatives
I like Protein2O and I hate everything, lol. I have also enjoyed Isopure Infusions because they are clear. None seemed too sweet or artificial.

Losing too much weight...
Im 5'7" and i look very thin at 160. 125 would be extremely thin for me and probably unhealthy. But everyone is different.

Isopure unflavored protein...who has tried this?
I do the flavored Isopure Infusions and its clear and a couple flavors tasted good to me.

Unflavored Protein Powder?
I tried Unjury and found it unacceptable. It seemed to have quite a bit of flavored for being unflavored. That said, I dont mix my items with milk so that might help. You can buy by the packet for just a couple bucks on their website to try it out on the cheap.

Post op day 4 vomiting
I just threw up for the first time after surgery and it was so violent and painful I feel like my stomach ripped apart. Is that normal?

Yes, I coughed a few times and now my paranoia is thru the roof because it hurt so bad.

Thank you all for the encouragement. It helps TREMENDOUSLY to know Im not alone and that others have come out the other side just fine. Im 4 days post op and anxiety was well controlled until today. I suspect due to the doctor appt and perhaps too rich of a chicken broth. Now im afraid of looking crazy at the doc if theres no infection. YIKES. And Im definitely struggling with what have I done to myself. Even though I picture being very successful and very healthy in the future.
