Lifestyle Changer got a reaction from Sunnyway in Nervous for the next stage!
I had to wait until 3:weeks to have puréed. I was on liquids and then full liquids so that my stomach would have a chance to heal and adjust to what I was taking in. 5:days post op for puréed foods just seems really too fast to be introducing puréed foods to your stomach. In my opinion I don’t think your stomach is ready to handle a big change to food that quickly. I’m sorry if my opinion may upset you. Bit through my weight loss program including working with my nutritionist this is not a good choice at only 5 days post op.

The first photo was taken on September 29, 2021. The second photo was taken on December 7, 2021 about 5 months post op with a 20lb weight loss. I can’t believe I’m down 2 pant sizes already. Apparently my doctor prescribing a binder he didn’t know it has a dual purpose. One it’s for medical reasons and two it’s better then using a belt to hold your pants up.

Thank you so much!! It means a lot to hear that after such a long journey struggling with weight my whole life. Here’s a few before and afters including a tiktok I made but never posted haha.
I’ve been very lucky with having minimal loose skin. I have been taking a collagen supplement daily and started that months before the surgery. I think that combined with a good strength training regimen and perhaps also because I got the surgery at a relatively young age (33) helped.
For workouts I do an hour 5-6x a week; half cardio (indoor cycling or running) and half strength training. All of my strength has been the peloton strength classes. If you happen to have a peloton membership You can see my full program on my profile DucesWild, follow me!! Highly highly recommend peloton it has made it so much easier, convenient, and fun to workout. Finding classes I actually enjoyed and not pushing myself too hard, just committing to staying consistent moving my body, whether it be a walk or yoga on days I didn’t feel well, that has been the KEY so far. Hope this helps! Happy to share more details.

I am down to 130lbs (-70lbs) at 7 months post op! I've gone from a size 12 to 2 and expect to be in maintenance now. Weight loss has definitely flatted out, but I am SO happy with where I'm at now. If I can keep myself at the current weight, I'd be a happy camper! How are you doing?!

From 1 month lost op to 6 months post op. I am 130 lbs down from my start weight and 110lbs down from my day of surgery weight. AND 153 lbs down from my highest weight. I am still struggling with all this change, it is hard to believe the way I look. Then when I stalled I was so upset and afraid until my hubby pointed out that while I stalled on the scale I was winning in other places. My face was changing, he could wrap his arms around me and he had to hold higher up on his forarm to close completely around me. My arms are smaller, I have more stamina and strength. Thank God for his support, helping me to be strong and keep going.

These pictures are amazing! Everyone has done such a super job!
i did a comparison picture today. 4 stone down. 15 weeks post op. Weight is still shifting 2-3lbs per week without much effort!
I cried…. I don’t recognise myself in the photo before.. why did I pretend that i was happy with my weight for so long before I was honest and said something needs to change. I cried because I feel sad for the lady on the left…
I’m sure you all know what I mean xx

Since I am now halfway between my heavy weight and my goal weight, I thought I'd show myself. I lost 26 lbs. on my own, then 9 lbs. on the pre-op diet, and 41 lbs. so far since surgery (five weeks ago). I only "see" the changes when I look at before-and-after pictures. I'm starting to see what I'll look like further along and I ain't mad about it.
76 lbs. down, 76 to go.

Lifestyle Changer reacted to NovaLuna in Can you show me your food log?
I don't log meals. I log calories I eat in a day. I used to not do that, but the amount of stalls I have is annoying so I was trying to see if I was eating too many calories. I was. I'm not anymore lol. So Friday's log was as follows (not doing Saturday's because I was busy shopping and baking all day and although I only ate 1115 calories... that was because I skipped lunch because I'm an idiot). So yeah, Friday's:
banana (105 calories)
Light Greek Yogurt (80 calories)
2 no sugar added fudgesicles (80 calories)
Turkey Enchilada (homemade. 250 calories)
Light Greek Yogurt (80 calories)
Protein Shake (160 calories)
Tater Tot Casserole (340 calories)
Light Greek Yogurt (80 calories)
Almonds (160 calories)
Total Calories= 1335 Calories
For reference, I'm almost 22 months post-op so I'm a bit farther in my journey. I also don't drink my calories. I drink Powerade Zero's (which have no calories, no sugar, no fat, and only 2 carbs per bottle). I also round up my calories btw which is why they're all even lol. My calories for that day are probably closer to 1315-1325, but I always round up because I'm weird like that. And I've already reached my goal weight, but haven't reached maintenance yet.

Meal 1 (0530) (51 cal 6C 2F 2.3P)
Espresso with 5 g brown sugar and 2 oz steamed milk
Meal 2 (0745) (164 cal 4C 10.6F 13.3P)
1 slice chard and spinach crustless quiche
Meal 3 (1000) (164 cal 4C 10.6F 13.3P)
1 slice chard and spinach crustless quiche (liked it so much I ate it twice)
Meal 4 (1400) (309 cal 11C 14.7F 32.8P)
2 beef kofte (meatballs) and 1/2 cup puréed pinto Beans
Meal 5 (1800) (327.2 cal 52.2C 3.3F 20.3P)
1 serving chicken tinga
1/2 cup puréed pinto beans
60 g steamed green beans
Persian melon
Meal 6 (2030) (130 cal 24C 3F 2P)
1 serving Maria biscuits
TOTAL 1310 cal 105.1C 54.8F 97.4P - exactly within my macros per my nutritionist. I am just short of 10 weeks post-op. (Note, before someone jumps in about how that's SO MANY CALORIES—I burn at least 1000 calories a day just in exercise and physical work which I need to do, so it has to get fueled. When I was eating much less, I had no energy and no strength to do things like move hay bales. And I am still in the honeymoon of losing 4-5 lbs. a week.)
