  1. Congratulations ?
  2. Keep it up you will make through no matter how many times you fall off just get back on and move forward. JUST DON’T QUIT! YOU GOT THIS?
  3. What state are you in??
  4. I am so sorry ..yes in Ohio AS OF NOW it may change again they are postponing elective surgeries up to Jan 14th for ones that have already been scheduled and not allowed to Add anything until after Jan 31but they keep pushing the dates out further and further it started being until Dec 17th then to Jan 3rd now to Jan 14th. If they push it out further I will also be cancelled I am Jan 18th.
  5. I am in Ohio also so I am on pins and needles hoping they don’t cancel mine. Did they give you a new date or did they just cancel?
  6. What state are you in
  7. I take my hat off to all who are on the pre-op diet during Christmas and New Years. I am nervous about the pre op diet all by itself let alone during the holidays which are usually centered around food. CONGRATULATIONS rather you realize it or not that is no small task and just wanted to encourage all keep it up. I start Jan 4th?
  8. I really hadn’t thought about it until I read this post and the first thing that just came to mind that I wanted to do before but felt I weighed to much to do is zip line. So that is number 1 on my list. ?
  9. I start my liquid diet as my nutritionist puts it liquid deliciousness ?? on Jan 4th I think I am more worried about that then the surgery itself. I just keep saying to myself it’s going to be worth it it’s going to be worth it. I wish I just could stay home for those 2 weeks lol.
  10. Had pre- anesthesia appointment today surgery Jan 18th. All Dec surgeries cancelled at my hospital in Ohio. As of now they are saying if it is already scheduled for Jan they are still on the books but anything that was cancelled or need scheduling will be after Jan that is as of today. With this Covid who knows what will happen in the next weeks to come. Good Luck to all on keeping scheduled surgery dates.?
  11. Just had my pre- anesthesia appointment and asked about possible postponing. As of now if it it scheduled for Jan they are proceeding but unfortunately things can change. So it’s like we are all in limbo and hoping it doesn’t get cancelled at the last minute.
  12. Congrats, glad they didn’t postpone it. I think we are all sitting on pins and needles hoping and praying we don’t get cancelled/postponed. I know when I woke up this morning that was one of the first things I thought about. As much as I don't want them to but I know it is a great chance it may happen. I have my pre-anesthesia appointment on Monday morning. Of course I will be asking questions on likelihood of postponement. I will keep you all updated especially for any of you that may be in Ohio or having procedure done at a Cleveland Clinic facility. I will be praying for all?.
  13. Cleveland Clinic also (Ohio)
  14. Yea I work at a hospital they are postponing all non essential surgeries that require an overnight stay.
  15. Well I am scheduled for Jan 18th it may be postponed I work in a hospital and just received notice they are extending postponing non essential surgery so I may have to wait. As much as I am ready to get this done I understand these are not normal times and we have to be patient the hospitals are overwhelmed. And yes a majority of the people in the hospital are ones Un vaccinated but they are people that need medical attention at this time their life may depend on it. So if my surgery has to get postponed I will just have to be patient sad yes disappointed of course but I also understand why. I hope it goes well for all of us sitting and hoping our surgeries aren’t postponed and it they are it is only for a short time. We all have went through things to get here we just may have to wait a little longer. Good luck to all.
  16. I am a texture person myself so I understand. I am taking off the whole 4 weeks. I feel like if you are able to, give your self that time to adjust and prepare. You have the rest of your life to work. This is not only a big adjustment physically for most of us it is also going to be a mental adjustment. I have already completed my FMLA paperwork and short term disability for my 4 weeks off. I am going to try and make the best of it my job will be there. If they would give me more time off I would take it ?
  17. Lucky you only 1 day liquid diet.. I WISH I have to do 2 weeks of liquid deliciousness ????
  18. Jan 18th seems to be a good day for surgery lol. Well I guess we can make a New Years resolution to lose weight and actually keep it this time.?
  19. Yea I can imagine that will be hard but the surgery will be a great gift we can give all of ourselves and it will be worth the sacrifice of that Christmas meal. I will have to keep telling myself that it is worth it when it is time for my liquid diet.
  20. I start my liquid diet on Jan 4th and will be working during my liquid diet also. I think I am more worried about the liquid diet more then the actual surgery ?
  21. I am scheduled for Jan 18th in Cleveland Ohio nervous but excited at the same time.
  22. quest products have a nasty aftertaste they taste okay when you first eat them but an awful aftertaste.
  23. Who was your surgeon? How long ago?
  24. Yes it will be a challenge cooking for them and not eating what they eat but hopefully I won’t have a big appetite so it won’t bother me lol. I have been on diets before in past and cooked and didn’t eat or was able to eat some things but not all what I cooked. I know it will be a challenge I think more so during the 2 weeks of liquid deliciousness as my nutritionist put it.
