I have a lululemon jacket that I bought for a trip to nz 13 years ago and it was too tight. I always told myself I would fit it one day and now I do in fact it's loose these days but I still can't wear it cause it's to hot where I live so a trip to somewhere cold where I can wear it along with some beautiful boots would be a great reward for me .

Whoa there @winkydinks. It would be wrong of any of us to make assumptions that this lady is overeating. This persons team has set these quotas and you have to work within the guide lines you have been given. You don't know if this person is or is not following the guidelines.
@Miratia Please use your teams scales as a good guide. They should have them recalibrated very regularly. My advice to you would be track your foods, ring your team and relax. 1200 calories seems a good amount to be eating at 1 year out, Many eat more than that and will chip in here later. Please don't panic.

That is what I do. I eat and then eat a little something later to deal with the hunger. I find little Snacks that are sensible really help a lot between larger meals. And...of course...water first to make sure it is just not thirst.

Ok, the way i see it, given your current situation, you have two choices:
    1) eat to uncomfortable so you can postpone the feelings of hunger a little longer;
    OR
    2) eat to comfort and then have to eat again a little sooner to address the hunger.
Which is worse? Feeling uncomfortable due to fullness, or feeling hungry? Which lasts longer? Which makes you feel worse about yourself?
Now pick the lesser of the two evils.
    For now .
    (cuz nothing is forever!)
It may sound simplistic and an over-generalization, but i think the source of many of our angsts is the constant Quest to get back to feeling or being how we were pre-op. Just a thought.
P.S. If meat and cheese are the only things that are agreeable, so be it (at least its not chips and chocolate!…small victories, i guess!). You’ll find a groove eventually, i’m willing to bet. If its any consolation, i’ve read many of your posts and you seem to have a good enough handle on things that I don’t doubt it.
    Good Luck! ❤️

I don't think I will ever forget about having the surgery. I like you get uncomfortable after eating if I eat even slightly too much food. I guess this is something I have to live with but the alternative is that I could have not had the surgery and still been carrying an extra 100 pounds of body weight on me. I understand it is a life change and if I have to feel a little uncomfortable after over eating, then I will be more careful about how much I eat. I find that like you I don't get full for very long and end up grazing on some Snacks later. I find this an issue in the evening. I try to keep some nuts and fruits around or some diet friendly chips like Snacklins around (yucca based chips, less than 100 calories per bag) to help with the hunger without killing my calorie intake.

So when I had my surgery, I was able to see pics of the inside of my stomach as well as the part that was removed after the surgery. I just logged into my patient portal and I was able to read the surgery notes and pathology notes. The part of my stomach they removed was 8 1/2 inches long and 2 inches wide. A regular, empty stomach is about 12 inches long by 6 inches wide and can hold up to a quart of food. That means my remaining stomach is only 3 1/2 inches long and 4 inches wide and can hold 3 ounces lol Very, very neat...

Pizza!!! Still in pureed stage. I can NOT wait to have a small slice! The ricotta bake recipe has helped & I figured out a way to have low fat mozzarella sticks so I'm hoping that will allieve the craving!

Its odd because during the week I can be quite restrictive of what I eat; yet on the weekends it seems like open field day for me. So essentially I undo my weekly progress by sabotaging it on the weekends

I was just thinking, their persistence to take you out could Have been out of lack of another plan. They knew they wanted to do SOMETHING for you for Mother’s Day and didn’t have any other ideas. Perhaps if you come up with something not food related that you would rather do in the future and you suggest it they will not pressure you so much to do dinner out??

Fell off and back on occasionally. Went from 236 in 2013 to 184 in 2015. Moved to NC and lost to 179 after Covid. Put that back on and then some. Hysterosalpingo-oophorectomy 2004. No hormone replacement therapy due to family hx. of ca. Struggle with Keto last seven years. Cannot eat "normal" without gaining weight. So sick of struggling. Hope that this surgery will be a great tool to get back to my "fighting weight" of 135. I am 5'2 3/4"
I now have fibromyalgia, osteo arthritis, UCTD, sleep Apnea, high cholesterol, and occasional high bp and inflammation in my hands, legs, etc..
Its time to get healthy again. If any of you are approximately 200lb or any weight for that matter, I would love to pen pal.
I have pre-op jitters. Scared the closer May 24th approaches. I want this but the rest of my life with this WOE scares me so much. I have a really good appetite and I am afraid of failure.

We all lose at our own rate & unfortunately our rate of loss slows as we get closer to goal. I wouldn’t worry about the 3lb weight gain. Yes, it could be a fluctuation & it could be as you said, you’re not monitoring your food intake as often & have gone off plan. Getting back on your plan is your best way forward.
I wouldn’t worry too much about your level of activity. I really didn’t & still don’t exercise. I lost all my weight & more. The truth is exercise accounts only for a 10-20% loss of the weight you have to lose. Got 50lbs to lose, exercising will account for only 5-10lbs. Of course there are physical, emotional & psychological benefits to exercise which will influence your decision but how much & how often you exercise is ultimately yours.
