Finally got rid of my XXL pre-surgery coats. Bought smalls and mediums last winter in casual jackets, but didn’t have a dress coat. I found two beautiful coats, both on sale, but one was an XXS and one was a size 2. I thought, “No way” but tried them anyway. They’re form fitting, but fit. Got them both! Yippee!!!!

My doc said it was because of your hormones. After a while of suffering, I went back and they gave me two different prescriptions. You CAN control the nausea, you have to TELL them, and tell them again, until you can cope.
Also-I have discovered, on a personal level, that docs will give you the lowest dose. If that does not do it for you, tell them. Don't suffer. On a personal level again, i googled the meds, and saw that an extra would not kill me, took that extra dose, and the next time I went back, I told them. Guess who got a script for an increased dosage?

LOL, don't worry. Your body will adjust. It will start again. LOL really. I am at the point the loss is so slow. But I get on the scale, and there is another pound gone...

So i decided to order my own lipid panel last week to see where i am at 6 months post surgery with cholesterol levels. before surgery they were in the red. Very high where they were going to put me on medication. I got my results back today and all my cholesterol levels are in the green (normal range) gotta love it. But one thing that did come back high was something called bilirubin. It involves the liver mainly (Gall bladder too) By levels before surgery were normal. So will show them to my surgeon in 2 weeks when i have my 6 month follow up and see what they say. My surgeon sent me off today to get Vitamin blood test done so i am curious to see how they come out and see if my Iron (which was slightly low) has gone up with the extra iron supplement i am taking.

OK, this starts with a joke I heard once a very long time ago, from a Reader's Digest, I think.
One lady (on scale) to another: I'm trying to get down to what I never thought I'd be over!
I just did. 132 lbs. YAY me!!

I realized my most recent NSV while out shopping for new pants. To give a little back story, I have always been a 30" length in pants, so in the past as my weight has fluctuated so has my pant sizes from 38x30 to 40x30, then to 42x30. Well I'm happy to report that as of today I am a 30x30 (or so I thought!!). It seems that I have actually grown taller! Well, kinda.... Since I now wear my pants at my waist aka at my bellybutton and not under my belly, I'm really a 32 length!!! It blew my mind to find out I'm taller than what my pants led me to believe 🤣.
Seriously though, it's a wonderful feeling to be in clothing sizes I never dreamed I would be able to fit in.

I have found that anesthesia will cause memory loss - for a little while. You are doing a great job losing! Your hormones are having a fit too. Talk to a professional about your depression!

I was just tired of being fat. At 69, the weight does not leave as easily. It was creeping up, little by little. I started having issues with my blood pressure. NO family history, so I was pretty sure the weight was causing it. So I am off that med. The idea all started when I was looking through what Medicare would cover, and it covers that! Then I found that Tricare did too! It took about 6 months to satisfy all the requirements, but I am glad I did!
